The electronic system failed while we were driving 40 mphs. The vehicle completely stopped. A recall notice was generated but never sent even though Audi has email, phone, etc. for information. If this would have happened the prior day while driving 75 mphs this could have killed my entire family. I was without a car for 2 months and Audi did nothing to rectify the situation. My car was towed to another city, with supply chain issues it took 6 weeks to fix. I have lost significant money as a result of this. Audi has been unaccountable for all of that. I had no idea the long history of electrical problems with Audi. Consumers need to know this!

The contact owns a 2015 Audi Q5. The contact stated while the vehicle was stationary, he became aware of a coolant leak underneath the vehicle. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the water pump was be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V229000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

Sun roof exploded for no reason. No rock hit it, driving on the highway with no other cars around

I have recently purchased my 2014 Audi A6 in Honolulu at JN Autogroup. After just a couple days of driving the vehicle I have noticed that the car started to smell like gas in and out of the vehicle. The smell is very potent and very sensible throughout every second of driving and I am reporting this because this could be very hazardous and I may not know if it could catch on fire with the amount of fumes that is lingering around. To the point where as I am driving it is making me dizzy. I have researched about issues for these cars with the same year, make and model and I have read that there was a recall on the fuel line leak but i don’t know why my car wasn’t included in this recall base of the data I have pulled up on the Audi recall center. I’m not sure if it has been recalled but the problem for sure wasn’t solved with my vehicle. On the other hand, I have also noticed that the reverse camera on this vehicle goes for a split second on the dash whenever in reverse then suddenly blacks out the entire screen. I am thinking that the wiring or some kind of harness that operates the reverse camera is not done properly by the factory that causes malfunctions within the system. In conclusion, these are two of the reasons why I am completing this incident report because I feel that these are two hazardous features that is important for not just myself but the community and people that surrounds me whenever I am on the road behind the wheel. It is important for this to be resolved because the company of this vehicle advertises all these features and sells this product but there is an issue with the product and I want it to be looked upon and not swept under the rug because I am not only speaking for myself but for the many thousands and thousands of these car owners that is on the road today who are having the same issue as I do. I purchased car July 2nd 2021 with 74956 miles, I just had it towed to audi do to coolant level light coming on. I purchased extended warranty at time of purchase and though this would be covered but was told warranty only covers water pump not the thermostat. Now they are demanding over 2100 to fix. I have seen several other audi owners that have experienced similar issues and believe this could be a dangerous to the owners especially when going on a long trip which my leave you stranded.

The contact owns a 2016 Audi A4. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle started shaking. The EPC warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed with cylinder #4 failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000.

Coolant leak from faulty water pump. This is a known issue from numerous models of Audis and has been the subject of recalls and extended warranty campaigns - but not on this particular model. I was forced to pay for the replacement of this known faulty part out of pocket.

The hood has opened 3 different times with no warning while driving down the road.

The top of the fuel pump connected to the fuel tank shows hairline cracks and fuel is spraying out of the fuel pump into a well in the rear seat

The contact owns a 2017 Audi Q3. The contact stated that while her daughter was reversing at an undisclosed speed, the horn inadvertently activated and the contact had to disconnect the clock spring fuse to deactivate the horn. Additionally, the steering wheel made clicking noises while turning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the clockspring part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
