  • 2025 CADILLAC LYRIQ
    - Highland Mills, NY

I am writing to report a series of alarming incidents involving my 2025 Cadillac, purchased on December 2, 2024. Within three months of ownership, I have experienced three separate occurrences that have caused me significant concern and physical distress. 1 Approximately two weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I pressed the Pedal. Within three- 4 seconds, I felt a sudden impact from the rear, as if I had been rear-ended. However, upon inspection, there was no visible damage to my car, and the vehicle behind me was approximately 10 feet away. This incident was both confusing and distressing. 2 On a separate occasion, under similar circumstances, I was stationary at a red light. Upon the light turning green, I began to accelerate and once again experienced a sudden, forceful jolt from the rear. No vehicle was in close proximity behind me, yet the sensation was akin to a severe rear-end collision. The jolt was significant enough to cause me considerable alarm. 3 The most recent and concerning event occurred on the evening of February 24, 2025, around 8:00 PM. I was reversing out of a parking spot at a supermarket. Within seconds of shifting into reverse and beginning to back up, I felt an intense impact, as though a vehicle traveling at high speed had collided with the rear of my car. The force was so substantial that I was convinced a serious accident had occurred. However, upon exiting the vehicle, I found no other cars in the vicinity and no visible damage to my vehicle. Medical Following these incidents, I began experiencing severe neck pain. The discomfort persisted and intensified over the course of a week. On the morning of February 25, 2025, I sought medical attention due to the escalating pain. At the hospital, XR cervical spine was performed, and I have been advised to pursue follow-up consultations with specialists. There needs to be an investigation into these Occurrences.

I was driving 70 mph on the highway and the engine shut off with no warning. The screen said to press start again. That's when I realized the engine was off. I pulled over it took four or five tries to turn the engine back on it. Cranked multiple times before it turned over. Got it back on drove another half mile and then the engine seized. We had it towed an hour south of where we were. The dealer had no loaners and there were no rental cars anywhere in the vicinity. We had to rent a cargo van and drive me, my wife and my three kids and cousin in a cargo van (zero rear seats) back to our house which was another hour and a half south of there. We were driving north for a weekend vacation with was cancelled. The whole experience with exception of the very nice tow driver was an absolute nightmare. Now we are without our car not sure what to do. The Escalade needs a new engin, $155k car and no one seems to care. This Escalade has been in the shop at the dealer many times before for extended periods of time for computer issues, brake issues, dashboard issues. You name it this car has it.

  • 2021 CADILLAC ESCALADE
    - Dallas, TX

Driving home going 60-70 miles an hour I lost power in the middle of the highway and cruised off to the emergency lane. Engine completely shut off out of nowhere. Spedeometer went down even though i was pressing the accelerator . Starter burned out as well. Dealership says there was metal in the engine. Ordered a new engine and that engine was also defected. Now going into my third engine. In less than 2 months. If traffic would have been worse the possibility of safely maneuvering to a emergency lane could be fatal. Also one of the day running lights on multiple 2021 escalades go off.

2024 [XXX], Engine failure on [XXX] ) Car shifted automatically in neutral, telling me to turn off the vehicle and restart it on the dash. I pull over to restart it and it does not come back on. Fast-forward 9 months later, another engine failure [XXX] At what point will Cadillac be responsible for these defective vehicles coming from manufacturing. I spent over $120,000 on this vehicle and to have two engine failures before 45,000 miles is absolutely unacceptable. I’m writing here to state that the Cadillac with this VIN [XXX] IS A FRAUDULENT SALE my husband and I have experienced. The car show no damages on CarFax but when we took the car to a certified Cadillac dealership they said they were shocked we could even drive it. The catalytic Converter is completely missing along with several other computer systems issues. The car jumps up and down when you drive it, feels like horseback riding more than a car ride. Cadillac denied working on the car and advised us not to drive it at all Every single warning light that could be on the dash/odometer lit up approx 5mins of being on the highway. Throw the car in the junkyard where it belongs! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
