2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Fort Kent , ME
I am expressing my complaint on engine problem with my vehicle. I have an engine knocking or clicking noise that started last week. I had it evaluated by my mechanic, and we were told metal fragments were found in the oil pan…Indicating internal engine failure. I am angry now seeing all the info online about the failure of these 6.2 liter engines. My mechanic said he wouldn’t drive it for safety reasons because it will definitely get worse. I called the GM hotline. They were not very helpful. They said I needed to schedule with a dealer to have it diagnosed. She didn’t offer any more information. Shame on GM

The AEB system engaged when it should not have with no obstructions on [XXX] . I violently jerked, I thought I hit something but did not. The safety of myself and a person following me would have been been compromised. If someone was closer to me in the rear they would have hit me. My GM Onstar light turned to red and Onstar contacted me to see if I was ok. The problem has been confirmed by Faulkner Cadillac in Bethlehem, Pa. False Automatic Emergency Braking-Bulletin [XXX]. When the occurrence happened the Automatic Emergency Braking warning came on in my Driver Information Center. 2022 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Andover, MA
Engine failure while driving on the highway resulting in the vehicle being towed to the dealership and requiring a brand new engine. Being advised by the dealership that this will likely take 3+ months to replace as they have 2 other Escalades in the service department still waiting on a new engine and have been there for over 2+ months.

Pulled out of gas station and in 1/2 mile down the road pulled into oil change facility that I had scheduled to do. Heard a loud ticking of engine that was unfamiliar. Did oil change and engine still had sound after warm up. Pulled oil filter and found metal particles in filter/filter oil.

2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE- Missouri City, TX
The vehicle has approx. 28,000 miles on the odometer. Always serviced at Cadillac on a regular maintenance interval called for by the vehicle and manufacturer. At highway speeds, the vehicle lost all power and came to a stop in moving lanes of traffic putting my family at risk of being rear-ended on a highway at highway speeds (greater than 65 mph). The vehicle was later towed by OnStar / roadside assistance. The Cadillac dealership that received the Escalade determined this was a failed motor. The Service Advisor at the Cadillac dealership mentioned this was a common issue on L87 blocks / engines. They've already seen a few at their dealership and GM had confirmed to them this is a known issue (motor failure on the 6.2 liter V8 L87s). There were no warning lights or other symptoms leading up to the motor failure.

2024 CADILLAC LYRIQ- Pinehurst, NC
The back up lights when in reverse at night are inadequate to safely back the vehicle up. This is true whether one is using the rear window and rearview mirrors or one is using the back up camera. No more than 10 feet of area behind the vehicle can be seen by using these lights.

2023 CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV- Lafayette, LA
My 2023 Escalade started making a 'knocking" noise on Saturday 1/25/25. I called the dealership on Monday and they scheduled for a service appt. I let them know that it sounded like it was coming directly from the engine area. I have never had issues with the vehicle in any capacity previously. I did not drive the vehicle until thursday to the dealership because it sounded serious. On Thursday ON the way to the dealership the car completely broke down in the middle of the road with NO WARNING SIGNS or check engine lights coming on EVER. Not once did a light come on to tell me something was wrong. Upon the car being at the dealership for a week. They called to let us know that they found metal shavings in the oil pan, the oil in the car had almost completely drained and the car needs a complete new engine. An engine that is backordered through GM. And I have NO date upon which it can be fixed. My car was unable to be moved until the tow truck came. If I was in the middle of the interstate my life would have been at risk. I have since talked to 2 other people in my small city that have had the same issue. My dealership *also small, has a wait list of 4 other people for this same issue. This is a major safety concern and also a consumer issue. There is currently NO recall on the engine even though nation wide there is a major issue!
