The contact owns a 2019 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware that due to the placement and size of the sideview mirrors, there was a blind spot. The contact stated that the blind spots were large enough to severely reduce sideview visibility. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who declined to assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,000.

Headlights I been calling GM for years that you can’t drive with the low beam headlights at night it’s like having no headlights on . They say nothing no safety recall and I have read up on this issue and they say the halogen bulb gets so hot it burn the inside of headlight assembly and I would think this would be a safety recall . At the moment, the vehicle is releasing a strong order smells like burning oil or gasoline. It’s coming from the rear of the vehicle. You can smell it immediately when you step out and in the car. The rear is making a loud cranking noise and starting to shake. It appears based on the information that it’s a huge possibility it’s my rear differential going out. It posses a threat due to the anticipation of the brakes locking and causing a serious accident to my family or other on the road. Ive taken very good care if the vehicle and done all the required maintenance on the vehicle. Went though GM motors repair shops

Transmission brakes at speed, feels as if I got rear ended from the back. I know that there is lawsuits against GM for this same problem that I am having. GM knew about these transmission problems and told everyone that this 8 speed transmission was supposed to shift this way. But, now I have it parked in my driveway. Is there anyway that I can get my truck fixed?

Second time shifter cable failed. Thankfully I was in park and not driving. I had it replaced in 2021 and now 2023 it did the same thing.

The contact owns a 2013 Cadillac XTS. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the hazard lights independently activated, and the CUE touch screen became inoperable. The electrical system failure warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to safely drive the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle then lost motive power and was towed to a nearby Pep Boys, where the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be taken to the dealer for service. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.

Vehicle completely shut off while crossing over a four lane highway to enter a shopping center. Safety could have been highly at risk to both passenger, on coming traffic side, and driver. Luckily the cars coming were far enough back that they were able to stop. I took my vehicle to the dealership where I bought the car brand new in 2018. They test drove the vehicle while hooked to a computer but could not find a problem. They tightened all connections to battery and other components and did updates to the computer on the vehicle. There was no warnings whatsoever that the vehicle was about to completely shut off. Previous to this incident I had been driving on 95S from Warrenton Vs to Clayton NC. I don't even like to think of what would have happened on 95 if my vehicle would have completely shut down. I am sure I probably would not be writing this report. Looking on the web this has happened to others with this same year and model of Cadillac.

Numerous problems for a year have been: engine dies while driving, car totally dead with new battery, display partially black randomly or totally black along with radio display black, park assist is turned off. Headlights turn off and on by themselves; The latest is driving up a hill @ 25 mph, the steering wheel jerked hard to the right at 2 different times. Had I not had a solid grip on the wheel, it would have taken down a 500 foot drop and we wouldn't be here today. This last episode is the first time their OBD was able to read anything. It read "no communication to steering, no communication to brakes, radio, dash display" and other no communications. This car is unsafe to drive and should be recalled or taken off the road. It has been to 2 dealerships and so far have not identified anything that gives me faith in the reliability in the vehicle.

Opened my back hatch to put groceries in at store, and the hatch opened lifted up and then went up and down then closed on me. Glad I got out of the way in time.
