Vehicle was purchased new from Yacht Club Powersports in [XXX] after remaining in its shipping crate since 2024. Yacht Club documented the pre-delivery inspection on XXX. On XXX, before leaving, the front tires visibly appeared very low. A family member and I questioned the salesperson and were told the tires were fine and the vehicle was safe to ride. I then rode more than 160 miles home. During the ride, the vehicle developed significant side-to-side steering/handlebar wobble at approximately 62-70 MPH. After arriving home, tire pressures were approximately 8 PSI left front, 9 PSI right front, and 20 PSI rear. A BRP representative later advised me that approximately 8-9 PSI front and 20 PSI rear are the pressures used when these vehicles are shipped in the crate. I corrected the pressures to 20 PSI front and 28 PSI rear, but the wobble continued. On XXX, Greenmount Motorsports inspected the vehicle, documented the tires as good, and advised it was safe to ride. Because the wobble continued, I had the vehicle transported under warranty to an authorized Can-Am dealer in [XXX] on XXX. That dealer determined both front tires were defective/out of round and replaced them under warranty. The wobble stopped after replacement. The vehicle later developed suspension fault C211A, and the rear suspension air compressor required warranty replacement. A service employee at the Festus dealership told me, in substance, that they had been replacing multiple suspension air compressors on Can-Am units, not just my vehicle. After my compressor repair, the suspension became extremely harsh and required additional dealer attention. The vehicle has also displayed U0155 loss of communication with the instrument cluster and intermittent electronic/display concerns. These events occurred with fewer than 1,500 miles. I am reporting this for possible tire, steering, suspension, compressor, and related safety-defect trends. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While riding, I felt the bike vibrating. Within seconds I heard a crack and snap and began to lose acceleration. Twisting the throttle only slightly revved the engine. I put on the hazard lights to alert vehicles behind me while I coasted to the left side of the road. When I stopped I noticed the belt was hanging and saw the front sprocket had broken. Insurance was contacted and the vehicle was transported to the dealership for inspection and repair. The dealership contacted the warranty company. Both the warranty and insurance was denied. Warranty expired in May and instance said it was a mechanical failure. Speaking with the service department, they confirmed it to be a mechanical failure and it wasn't something that could be seen or checked during normal service calls. There were no lamps or warning signs of the failure.

Due to a mechanical failure, the front sprocket began wearing and eventually broke causing the vehicle to lose propulsion in traffic. Vehicle was left inoperable. In addition to the sprocket breaking from the engine, internal to the engine and transmission, several gears were damaged along with the drive belt. This same issue had a recall issued for the 2015-2019 Spyder RT and F3s in 2022.

Brake light stays illuminated even when brakes are not engaged. Upon research internet shows this is a recall issue affecting 35,000+ can-am rykers but when I contact my dealer they say that it is not a recall. Can someone please look into this? I believe it should absolutely be a recall and fixed at no cost.

My bike was brought into an authorized / certified service center and the, Component: rear wheel was not serviced correctly ; the service person forgot to install one of the two wheel bearings and the one bearing he did install was placed on the wrong side of the wheel ; I took the bike ; started my road trip ; the rear tire was wobbly but I thought it was an alignment issue that I would have to deal with when I arrived at the next service center. Safety: the wheel bearing was required for the bike to be assembled correctly ; the one lug nut holding the rear wheel assembly on the bike almost worked itself loose ; which would have caused my rear-wheel to lave the bike ; causing me to have certain injury or death Reproduced: Yes, I brought my bike to another authorized / certified service center and they determined the issue ; held my bike from use as it was not roadworthy (they commented, how I could be alive given the distance to their service center) ; the necessary parts were ordered, installed ; I took the bike : the front wheels were out of alignment which was 'masked' by the rear wheel being installed incorrectly Inspected: the vehicle was inspected by the service shop who performed the necessary service to my rear-wheel ; I tried to make an appointment with the original service center but they refused to take my call, answer my emails, and when I called they said that they were no longer servicing Can-Am bikes for the forseeable future so could not help me. Warning: There was no warning as I was having my bike completely serviced prior to a road trip (~ 4000 miles) ; upon receiving my bike there was a wobble in my back tire as I rode home ; the service shop was closing after I took my bike ; I was leaving the next day on my road trip ; so decided to deal with the wobbly back wheel when I arrived at the next service shop ; I rode at 55mph because the wobbly rear wheel was noticeable at 60mph and terrible at 70 mph

**Re: Safety Complaint – New 2026 Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 ACE** I am submitting this complaint regarding a newly purchased 2026 Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 ACE and a potentially serious safety concern that occurred during the vehicle's initial trip home from the dealership, Redline Powersports in [XXX]. During the sales process, the transaction included substantial additional charges beyond the stated vehicle price and its current advertised price on its website. My paperwork reflects a vehicle price of approximately $10,638, with additional charges including approximately $1,995 for freight, $1,950 for dealer preparation, $552 for accessories, $399 in administrative fees not including Reg/Tax. I am reviewing whether all pricing and additional charges were adequately explained and disclosed. My immediate concern, however, is **vehicle safety**. My neighbor drove the new Ryker while I followed behind in another vehicle. I, personally, observed a **visible cloud of white smoke coming from or immediately behind the vehicle while it was being operated**. The rider also reported a **burning smell** while operating the Ryker. The vehicle reached approximately 60 mph during the trip. I am concerned that there may have been a mechanical, exhaust, fluid, cooling, electrical, assembly, or other defect present when the vehicle was delivered. I am requesting that this incident be documented as a safety complaint involving a new 2026 Can-Am Ryker Rally 900 ACE. Given my concerns about the original transaction, I would prefer, if possible, to have the vehicle evaluated by another authorized Can-Am/BRP dealer or otherwise obtain an independent diagnosis of the white smoke and burning odor. My vehicle has had this issue 2 times since it was purchased, the first time at 800 miles on the bike and the second time at 1050 miles on the bike. While driving at highway speeds 70 mph the automatic transmission just shifted into neutral, leaving me in the middle of traffic and trying to get off the highway safely.there was no sign of any trouble until it happened both times. The second time it happened I was almost hit by a passing vehicle as I had very little room to get off the highway. The vehicle did produce a trouble code and the dealer didn’t know how to fix it, it was in their shop for 5 weeks and it was not fixed correctly but they gave it back to me and said ride it to see if it happens again, it did after less than 200 miles. It’s at the shop now and they are not sure what the issue is. I feel this is a very big safety issue as I was lucky to at least be able to get off the highway some.

The contact owns a 2023 Can-Am Ryker. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was performing normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the tires needed to be replaced and balanced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 0.8.

XXX at 300 miles on the bike, it broke down FSS failure/ engine overheating warning system came on the screen. Island Powersports repaired it and said it didn’t have enough coolant. At 568 miles or so on the bike, while traveling on sunrise hwy at 60 miles an hour, the bike began shaking, same warning light FSS failure, check engine light on. The bike lost power and I had to get from the middle lane to the shoulder of the highway. Another driver saw and stopped to see if I was ok. Got the bike to my house. Next day tried to start it. It did nothing completely dead. I called the dealer. He said no problem. Just get it here and we’ll fix it. Well that was a problem because first of all I almost got killed because the bike just died for no reason and two now I have to rent a truck and trailer to get it there 45 minutes from my house turns out it needed a new battery and starter at less than 600 miles on the bike. I reported the bike to the manufacturer BPR where they told me not to pick up the bike. They ended up doing absolutely nothing except cause more problems. In XXX driving on [XXX] at 45 miles an hour, the same thing happened, FSS failure, engine light on, limp home mode. Made it to the store where I tried to start it again and it was completely dead again had to rent a truck and trailer from Home Depot brought it to Island Powersports at 6:45 PM with my parents service was already closed, but the sales department was open the sales manager Tom told me to leave the key and just park it in front next day. I called to find out the status and was told by the service manager, Mr. Carr to pick up my bike that they are no longer working on it or going to do anything with it because of the verbal argument me and him had over the phone after BRP told me not to pick the vehicle up which got Mr. Carr very upset and he ended up calling me a faggot which was reported to the human rights division of New York State, and a case was created for that.
