The 6.2L V8 motor is known to have faulty internals. I was driving down the highway and the motor shut off. The vehicle needs a new motor now. GM has offered an oil viscosity change to 0w-40. That was done 20k miles ago. This vehicle now needs a new motor

Had an engine replacement in dec of 2025 and had to pay for it since wasn’t under warranty or recall. And now my replacement engine which has a warranty now. Just failed in March 2026 which about 3 months later. Had metal shavings in engine and multiple cylinders misfiring. And now I don’t have a family vehicle to drive my family around again. There should’ve been a recall on my engine, but wasn’t this is not fair. And I’m paying the price for it.

When attempting to engage the Left turn signal, the lever has to be pushed down several times to "catch or engage" and stay engaged. Frequently it won't stay engaged and turns off before the turn is completed. (The Right turn signal works properly). This happens 8 out of 10 times on a consistent basis. The dealer shop supervisor and tech test drove it as well as another brand new lot vehicle and both did the same thing. They said that that's what they all do, and I should push down more firmly, which doesn't help. I'm in my late [XXX] , have driven new GM vehicles for decades and know how to use a turn signal. I have been in the middle of LH turns and the turn signal was not flashing to advise other drivers of my intent to turn. I believe that this is a significant and dangerous safety issue. I bought the vehicle new a little over a year ago and it currently has about 2500 miles on it. I am not sure when this started happening, but I started to notice it at about 1700 miles, 6 months ago when I started driving it regularly in place of my 2024 Chevrolet 1500 pickup. I am reporting another engine failure on the 6.2L L87. This engine passed the initial recall testing and the oil was changed to 0W40 on September 30, 2025. However, my engine in my 2023 LT Trail Boss started knocking on Friday, March 20, 2026 (at 22,500 miles) after I picked up my children from school. Thankfully it started as I pulled into my driveway with them so they weren’t in any danger. No loss of power on the truck or warning lights visible. However, it was loud enough and odd enough for my [XXX] olds to even notice the sound in the cab. It was dropped off at the dealership on that Saturday morning and the GM dealership was finally able to look at it on Wednesday, March 25th and confirmed what was expected. The advisor stated the engine will need to be replaced due to the engine heading towards bearing/crankshaft failure. I am still currently without my truck as of today (April 4th) with no repair date in sight. I will say that the dealership service advisor has been very good about communicating about its status. However, he stated that he has had no luck finding an new engine and is unable to give a timetable in getting one. He did offer to start a PO for a rental car through enterprise. He stated they are not giving loaners, but could get a rental car. He also stated that it would not be a truck due to GM only giving $50 per day towards a rental. So here I sit currently without my truck. I see multiple reports about the engines being on back order and even the replacement engines are failing within the fist 500 miles. Some reports indicating they are on the third or fourth engine. Something needs to done about getting these trucks bought back by GM. They have clearly failed with this engine and are replacing the failed engines with the same thing! It is a well documented manufacturing flaw and design! I am thankful it occurred near my home. I would not have been happy with a catastrophic failure on a highway with my [XXX] old children in the truck!! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INF

McCredy Motors replaced the engine due to a recallin 6/2025. Husband was driving from our home [XXX] to town and we had made it to [XXX] . Husband stated there was no warning, no engine light, no oil lights, no indication of over heating. Just a loud clunking all of a sudden, nocking, grinding and crackling. Husband immediately pulled over left the truck over night at the Greene town barn and we called in the morning to have the truck towed back to McCredy motors on the morning of 4/4/26. Reading up on this I have found the even after the recall and a new engine customers are still having catastrophic engine failures. This is absolutely what I feel we are currently experiencing. McCredy Motors will diagnose on Monday when the Certified Chevy dealership opens. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Without warning my Tahoe would no start 60 miles from home due to a faulty fuel pump module. I was stranded and the vehicle needed to be towed to a GM dealership for repairs. Many 2021 Chevrolet Tahoes have been recalled for this problem and I believe my vehicle should be included in the recall and $787.50 should be reimbursed by including my vehicle (573 Safety Recall Report 21v-739. Driving down the freeway and it began raining. The wipers worked and then they just stopped working and it was pouring in the rain. I had to pull over because I couldn’t see. This has happened two other times. In having my vehicle inspected it showed no problem with the switch or wiper motor. The infotainment system also frequently locks up and restarts even after the recall was fixed.
