The transmission died on my 2.7L Turbo Max engine in my 2022 Silverado. The "D" was flashing and giving no acceleration when pressing on the gas. The vehicle was also hard to shift. From my understanding the 2.7L turbo max is the only engine in this time frame that hasn't been re-called due to transmission issues.

    - Jamestown, TN

This is a supplemental update to complaint #XXX filed February 7, 2026, regarding my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Diesel (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion on January 21, 2026, consistent with the defect mechanism described in Recall 24V797. Recall software was installed May 27, 2025. Failure occurred eight months later with no warning. GM's response has been as follows: A Field Technical Service Engineer made a remote determination that the failure did not match the recall without physically inspecting the transmission. GM Executive Resolution required teardown at customer expense with no reimbursement guarantee. The authorized dealership (Dave Kirk Chevrolet, Crossville TN) declined to perform a documented inspection -- citing unwillingness, not inability. Written refusal was withheld for over one week. GM's Executive Resolution liaison admitted she had known of the refusal and withheld that information from me, directly delaying my ability to act. The final repair order (RO 50479) contains a self-documented notation: "Added tech notes 3/16/26" -- eight weeks after the January inspection. The transmission pan was fully removed, fluid was discarded, and pan bolts were not reinstalled. The only photograph provided does not reflect as-found conditions. Evidence integrity has been materially compromised. The vehicle has been without propulsion since January 21, 2026. Full chronology, documentation, and supporting evidence are attached. • 2018 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE
    - Louisville, KY

The exhaust system on my 2018 Chevrolet Traverse has failed due to cracking in the exhaust pipe and/or muffler assembly. This appears to be consistent with known issues in similar model years where exhaust pipe brackets separate and cause cracks or holes in the exhaust system. The failure has resulted in excessive exhaust noise and potential exhaust leakage. The dealership has confirmed the issue and recommended repairs costing several thousand dollars but stated my VIN is not included in the existing recall or special coverage. Yes, the vehicle and failed components are available for inspection upon request. The failure of the exhaust system creates a risk of exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide, entering the passenger cabin, which poses a serious health hazard. Additionally, a compromised exhaust system can affect vehicle performance and emissions, and in some cases may increase the risk of fire if hot exhaust gases escape in unintended areas. This issue is especially concerning because it has been identified in other model years of the same vehicle, yet my vehicle is not currently covered, despite experiencing the same failure. This creates an ongoing safety concern for myself, my passengers, and others on the road. The problem been reproduced and confirmed by a certified Chevy dealer.

My vehicle is listed as not being affected by any current recalls. When I purchased my vehicle in December 2025, it did not have an Owner's Manual in the glovebox, which I found concerning. Why do I not qualify to receive something as important as the owner's manual under that current recall regarding that safety issue?

Just took my car to the Chevy dealership today and had them go over the car because I keep getting the message steering assist has been reduced and the fan is constantly running at the highest speed and it also makes it where I can not use the a/c or heat in the car! I don’t know the code off hand but it has something to do with the cam shaft and the thermostat for the antifreeze! From what Chevy told me today it is a $9000 job to tear down the left side of the engine because the camshaft carrier gasket is leaking oil! Which is probably why that code is popping up. Or from what I was told today it could be from the battery which I believe they were trying to shift blame. Either way this camshaft stuff really needs to be investigated!!

    - Irvington, NJ

On 10/29/25 I brought the vehicle in to Richard Lucas Chevrolet due to the alert from my insurance co that there was a recall with parking brake system. The dealership checked the car and told me they had to order the part that was needed due to the recall. Prior I also made the dealer aware that the car had recently stalled on me in the middle of the street, I was told by the dealership that this was apart of the recall! The dealership allowed me to drive the car and stated to me that they would call me when the part comes in! 2 days later on 11/1/25 while driving the car lost control, the brakes wouldn't stop and I crashed into 2 parked cars and landed on top of the second parked car which was a pickup truck! All of the airbags deployed and my body is pretty messed up from this horrific crash and this has caused fear in me of driving!

21" Equinox EV RS wheel cracked at the lip even though we do not recall hitting anything. No known potholes or other impacts. This caused air loss from the tire and had to refill the air at least once a day. When the tire shop removed the tire to inspect it further we found no damage to the tire, just the wheel was cracked. Called dealership and they claimed it would not be a warranty issue. We ended up putting different wheels on the car as we didn't want to have this issue again.
