Purchased these aftermarket nylon rear axle lift blocks (level kit) online . They failed while the vehicle was in motion in the live lane on the highway. I was barely able to pull off the road . These blocks are not safe for regular road or highway use. They failed under normal driving on a otherwise stock 1/2 ton 1500 truck . I could have been on a freeway and or other highway with more traffic and this part could have caused a accident as both of these plastic nylon rear axle blocks collapsed under the weight of the truck.

The high pressure fuel pump failed and sent metal particles throught the fuel system. All fuel components except for the injectors are available. The engine stalled while driving at speed forcing me to stop and call a tow truck on the side of the road. Mileage at failure was 81340. Preston hood Chevrolet diagnosed the HP4 failure and replaced the entire fuel system, noting metal contamination in all areas. The component has not been inspected. The truck had a slight grinding noise when shifting into 4th on throttle. Took it to a firestone and the techs noted its possibly just shifting hard, no issues found. The grinding noises ultimately was the HP4 failing. No warning lamps or other indications of a problem were present prior to the catastrophic failure.

  • 2016 CHEVROLET CRUZE
    - Austin, TX

Manufacturer: General Motors / Chevrolet Vehicle: 2016 Chevrolet Cruze LT (VIN: [XXX]) Corporate Case Number: XXX Nature of Dispute: Premature mechanical failure of a major drivetrain assembly and administrative bad faith. Factual Timeline: Initial Failure & Prior Liability: At 51,490 miles, the vehicle suffered a mechanical failure of the turbocharger assembly. General Motors acknowledged defect awareness and prior liability by funding a $1,000 payout to complete the repair. Premature Secondary Failure: Just 40,000 miles after that official manufacturer repair, a certified Chevrolet dealership service department formally diagnosed a second total mechanical failure of the turbocharger assembly (Error Codes: P0299 Underboost and P1101 Airflow Performance). Administrative Breakdown: Upon requesting a supervisor escalation due to a combative tier-1 case manager, the manufacturer reactively demanded unauthorized diagnostic fees and prematurely closed the file. General Motors subsequently breached its 24-hour supervisor review commitment and issued a final refusal to address the recurring mechanical defect on its network. Remedy Sought: Full manufacturer coverage for the replacement of the prematurely failed drivetrain component based on documented prior corporate liability. - Niagara Falls, NY

As I accelerated after the traffic light turned green the vehicle stalled. I was able to move the vehicle to the curb on XXX [XXX] is a two-way road. The vehicle stalled while on an active road which could have led to my vehicle being rear ended causing potential injuries to myself and other drivers. The engine turned over and there was fuel in the gas tank, however, the vehicle wouldn't start. A warning light showed: "low battery", but since the engine was trying to start, it seems unlikely that the battery was low. A second warning light showed: "battery saving" mode. These lights appeared once the vehicle was parked on the curb of the road. The vehicle was towed to David Chevrolet, a GM dealership on [XXX] about 2 miles away. Complete loss of electronic power steering capability while new teenage driver was traveling at high rate of speed. Loss of power steering and stabilitrak traction control warning indicators on dash. Issue that invoke a safety recall in previous year model vehicle (GM Recall #15595 & GM Special Coverage N182182190) but is being ignored by manufacturer for my 2016 model. ODB2 fault codes confirms U0420-42 and C0545 indicating exact same issues still occurring in 2016 vehicles despite recall due to this safety issue in 2015 models.

Lifter for cylinder 7, part of the Active Fuel Management system, failed to open causing the truck to lose full power while I was on the highway without any warning prior to the incident. It could have caused an accident if It had happened during a busier time on the highway as I could not go the "flow of traffic's speed." It has been torn down and looked over to confirm the problem and full extent of the damage, by a dealership, with pictures of proof. This has left me without my vehicle for months due to needing a full brand new motor.
