I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado and my wifi, onstar, gps mapping is not working.  I got the run around from the dealership and they told me to call onstar because my onstar and wifi it's not working.  Turns out the Telematic Control Module is defective and not working.  They want me to pay $450 for the part and $155 labor to fix this issue.  I have 54245 miles on my truck so it's not covered under the bumper to bumper yet this is a known issue with this part and Chevy or Onstar should cover the replacement.  I see all the complaints online and nothing being done.  How are people supposed to have confidence in the Onstar program when they go to use it and it's broken? There's no indicator until it's just not working. The Telematic Control Module (TCM) in a Chevy Silverado is the brain for connected services like OnStar, GPS, and remote diagnostics, collecting vehicle data (location, performance) via the OBD-II port and sending it to cloud

My 2020 Chevy Silverado needs a torque converter replacement. My truck is at 90k miles and out of drivetrain warranty. However, this is a known GM problem with trucks (and other vehicles in this class of engine/transmissions). I have talked to GM corporate and they are only willing to rebate 20% of the cost of this repair. I believe they should pay for the entire repair since this is a known problem for all these vehicles in this class. Please help me to get GM to understand this and fix this known problem.

My check engine light came on and the diagnostic code was p1098. I noticed there was a special warranty for my make and model and engine but for some reason mine does not have this special warranty. I have researched and found out this is a common problem with these trucks. I think there should be a recall for this as it poses safety problems and concerns when it enters limp mode

Truck was purchased Aug 2024 During first few months, I felt a shudder/vibration when either holding speed and/or slightly accelerating between 30-45 mph, usually at 1100-1300 RPM. Current Odometer 33,995 In the last month the truck has began to vibrate worse. I have a "Rumblestrip" feeling when at the same speeds. More noticeable on surface roads when following behind traffic at 30-45 mph. Generally the shudder is felt at approx. 1100-1300 RPM. Took the truck to the dealer yesterday, and they performed a quick roadtest. Service Tech was able to feel the rumble strip shudder multiple times, however their diagnostic tool only indicated a TCC Slip 2 times during a 20 min drive. The shudder/vibration happens when in "D". It is not present in "L9", or in "Tow Mode". The shudder feels worse in 4WD. If the shudder/vibration is happening, I am able to hold the speed and RPM at the current spot, the sensation is continuous and does not go away unless I accelerate or decelerate. I tend to feel it more when on an incline, and decelerating. As or right now the data has been sent to GM for diagnostic viewing. Found multiple TSB for issue with 2500/3500 models, and 1500 models from prior years. L84 Engine - 2024 Silverado 1500 RST

August 30th 2024 the pickup was just turning to roughly 30,000 miles and started a knocking sound. The GM dealership tore it apart and fixed what I believe they said was a bent rod. I cycled through two oil changes and decided to pull an oil sample. I sent oil sample off for analysis. The oil analysis came back urgent with very high levels of copper and lead showing in the testing. I then called the GM dealer and they had me bring it in. They did not send off any oil sample because when they pulled the filter, they could already see metal in the new oil. They had me call GM customer service because it is not part of the current recall. I contacted GM customer service on October 27, 2025. They gave me a case number 80392504. I was to bring it back to the dealership which I did. Again dealership called said metal was found again but GM will not do anything with it because it’s not under recall. They also told me that GM told them it is OK to have metal in the oil. I said well if it is OK to have metal in the oil I want to know what the test results show. Then I said, I want to know where the maximum allowance is. They did not know that. I said so it is an infinite amount according to them because there is no standard to check against. I said I’m not taking this in for a recall. I am bringing it in because I had my own diagnostic testing done. It failed. I drive back-and-forth to North Dakota and I told them this is very unsafe if that motor goes out and it’s -30 or -45 and my little boys in the back the heater is not going to work. That is very unsafe and deadly. When you have extreme temperatures like that, we cannot just be running around. Tell the engine blows up or locks up. I told them this needs addressed you don’t pay $82,000 for a vehicle and not get any support or care. I said if something happens to my boy, they will wish that they put a new motor in there or fixed it. They are playing God. They need their hand, slapped and do the right thing. Thank you
