Vehicle has loose horn emblem Vehicle Heat/AC front not operable Vehicle driver side sliding door inoperable. Subject: URGENT SUPPLEMENT TO NHTSA COMPLAINT #11753124 — Unresolved Safety Recalls, Airbag Hazards, Dealer Refusal/Delay, and Conflicting Parts Availability Information Vehicle: 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan NHTSA Complaint: #11753124 Mopar Corporate Case: #97575701 I am submitting this as an urgent supplement to my existing NHTSA complaint concerning multiple unresolved federal safety recalls on my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. The circumstances have become increasingly concerning because the vehicle has multiple safety recalls, including recalls involving the airbag system, while I have received conflicting information from authorized Stellantis/Mopar representatives and dealerships concerning the availability of the required remedy parts. My vehicle was purchased used through a private sale. The NHTSA VIN-specific recall information shows multiple recalls as incomplete. The recalls include serious safety issues involving the airbag/occupant restraint system, the steering wheel airbag assembly, ignition-related loss of vehicle functions, and a potential fire hazard involving the sliding-door wiring. The situation is not merely theoretical. One of the vehicle's sliding doors is currently not functioning. The vehicle also has no front heat or air conditioning. Most importantly, the steering-wheel emblem associated with the driver's airbag assembly became detached, and I had to glue it back onto the steering wheel. I am extremely concerned about operating a vehicle with an unresolved recall involving the driver's airbag assembly and a component of that assembly that has physically detached. I contacted authorized dealerships to have the recalls addressed I was attempting to have the recalls formally initiated, the VIN processed, a repair order opened, and the required parts obtained.I was repeatedly given information that led to no service, late service, months away

Subject: Manufacturer and Dealer Non-Compliance / Obstruction of Federal Safety Recalls Vehicle: 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Description of Problem: I am filing a formal complaint against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)/Mopar and its authorized dealer network for active non-compliance, negligence, and obstruction regarding 7 open federal safety recalls on my vehicle. Authorized franchise dealerships have repeatedly refused to initiate the recall process, scan my vehicle's VIN, or open a formal Repair Order to place required parts on backorder. One dealership nonchalantly dismissed the safety hazards, claiming parts are entirely unavailable because the recalls date back to 2010.( United Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at Jeep Ram [XXX]) Another dealership employee, Craig, used hostile and coercive tactics when discussing service terms, creating an intimidating environment that makes it a safety risk for me to physically bring my vehicle to that location.(Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge FIAT 21110 Jamaica Ave Queens Village, NY 11428) On July 27, 2026, I contacted Mopar Corporate Customer Care to escalate this dealer non-compliance. I spoke with agent Sam under Corporate Case Number XXX. Agent Sam actively obstructed my efforts to secure a remedy. He falsely claimed to be contacting local dealers to check inventory, but when I offered to call those same locations, conference, to verify his claims, he strongly resisted. I asked to speak to a supervisor to escalate the agent's deceptive behavior and the dealer denials, but I was told the supervisor was completely unavailable and could only offer a callback within 24 hours. Under federal law, safety recalls do not expire. Manufacturers and their authorized dealers are legally obligated to provide a free remedy, log vehicle details, and procure parts. Mopar Corporate and its dealer network are actively prioritizing standard brush-offs and administrative evasion over public safety, with 7 recalls. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6

SHIFT LEVER PLACED IN TO PARK WILL NOT RELEASE KEY FOB, KEEPING THE VEHICLE IN ACCESSORY MODE AND DRAINING BATTERY. OCCASSIONALLY SHIFTING BACK AND FORTH FROM 'PARK' TO OTHER POSITIONS AND BACK TO 'PARK' WILL CAUSE THE IGNITION TO RELEASE KEY FOB AS NORMAL. EVENTUALLY FOUND ON FORUMS THAT FLICKING THE SHIFTER BUTTON ONCE IN PARK WILL HELP DEPRESS MICROSWITCH AND ALLOW IGNITION TO TURN OFF, THUS RELEASEING FOB. EVENTUALLY THIS STOPPED WORKING AS WELL. MY FIRST FIX WAS REMOVING THE DASH AND BENDING THE MICROSWITCH LEG SO THAT MORE FIRM CONTACT WAS MADE BY SHIFT ARM WHEN PLACED IN 'PARK.' THIS EVENTUALLY STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I FINALLY REMOVED DASH AND DISPLACED MICROSWITCH SO THAT IT PROTRUDES THROUGH IGNITION RING AND HANGS OUT NEAR THE KEY FOB. NOW WHEN I PARK, I MANUALLY PRESS THE MICROSWITCH AND THE IGINITION RELEASES THE FOB FULLY EVERY TIME! OTHERWISE YOU'RE STUCK REPLACING THE ENTIRE SHIFT ASSEMBLY FOR OVER $200 FOR PARTS AND MORE FOR WHATEVER LABOR IS CHARGED! ALL FOR A $2 MICROSWITCH THAT IS POSITIONED WRONG.
