Driver side rear sliding door is stuck closed. Cannot be operated manually, will not lock or unlock with the other car door locks which work fine. My children’s safety is at risk. I bought a van because I have 3 children, and in the event of an accident could delay their rescue. One of my children is a Type 1 diabetic and in event of an accident he’s in even more danger if rescue teams cannot get to him. The problem has not been confirmed by a mechanic, as both Dodge dealerships I have reached out to told me I would have to pay a diagnostic fee, but it’s a known problem with their vehicles. The vehicle has not been inspected by police, or insurance. There was no warning to the part malfunctioning, just stopped opening and noticed when my children tried to use the door to get out at school. My car currently has 109,000 miles on it but there are is a recall for up to 100,000 miles but Dodge states it cannot extend the warranty although I’ve see ln that Mopar extended the warranty for this exact issue but Dodge says it’s misinformation and “good luck”.

My 2006 Dodge Charger stalls after refueling, and now stutters when driving as if not getting fuel. I have noticed when attempting to break and stopping at stops this is happening more often. The car shuts down and could cause a accident. After researching this issue I found that this has been addressed already under investigation number PE13-016 by the NHTSA.

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while going to start the vehicle, the contact became aware that there was an object hanging down by the driver's side rear wheel well. The contact observed that the metal strap had detached from the fuel tank. The contact stated that the metal strap was extremely corroded. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V160000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 113,999.

On my way home. Going through in town (slow)traffic all of sudden I notice I had no power steering & no brakes, no please pull out , I noticed if I keep my rpm about 1500, I would get a little power steering & brakes back!, 4 miles to get home , I drove home slowly What happened was I lost my serpentine belt tensioner!!! .MY MAIN Purpose, for my truck is to toe my fifth wheel RV!!, I live in the north west of US, LIKE! in the mountains!! Terrified that it won’t happen again!????

Component/System That Failed or Malfunctioned & Availability for Inspection I have experienced multiple safety-critical failures in my 2012 Dodge Journey, including transmission failure, catalytic converter defects, engine repairs, electrical malfunctions, and brake system issues. Pattern of Recalls Across Dodge Journey Models & Lack of Recall for My Vehicle There have been numerous recalls across multiple model years (2009-2020) for the exact same failures my vehicle is experiencing, including: Transmission failures and defects Engine problems requiring major repairs Catalytic converter and exhaust failures Brake system failures and premature caliper wear Electrical malfunctions affecting windows, wiring, and power systems Despite this clear pattern of defects in Dodge Journey models, my specific vehicle has not been recalled for these issues. Dodge/Stellantis needs to explain why these defects are not being covered under existing recalls when the same problems have been recognized in other model years. How My Safety & Others’ Safety Was Put at Risk 1. Transmission Failure & Unsafe Driving Conditions My transmission failed completely, causing high RPM revving, and loss of acceleration. My vehicle essentially stalled out on the highway. Now, the transmission requires a full rebuild costing over $5,238.64. Dodge has issued recalls for transmission defects in other Journey model years, but mine is excluded despite experiencing identical failures. 2. Engine Repairs & Performance Failures My vehicle has required major engine repairs, including: Camshaft and rocker arm replacements Ignition coil replacements Thermostat and cooling system repairs Dodge has issued engine-related recalls for other Journey models, including crankshaft/camshaft sensor failures, engine stalling, and overheating risks. My vehicle suffers from the same defects but has not been recalled. These engine issues pose a major safety hazard by increasing the risk of engine stalling, loss of power, and

The driver side headlight fixture has gotten moisture into it. This has caused the "racetrack" LED daylight running light around the headlight to fail. After doing research, this is a common issue amount 2021 and up Dodge Durangos. At this time, there is also a class action lawsuit for the rear LED lighting using probably the same design that is also failing. The fix is replacing the headlight housing which is approximately $1,500+ for part and repair. Yes, this can be inspected upon request. The safety risk is that only one of the daylight running lights works so visibility will be poor for other drivers. My inspection mechanic noticed this issue and described it being the moisture in the headlight to be the most direct cause of the malfunction. There were no warnings that the equipment was failing. It would be on one day then off the next and then it stopped working completely.

Center lift gate racetrack light failed due to water getting into seam and shorting out that light and the license plate light. The whole unit needs to be replaced due to a faulty design which is going to cost over $2000

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Charger. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V198000 (AIR BAGS); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact was concerned because while driving the air bag warning light had momentarily illuminated. Additionally, the door panels where the side curtain air bags were housed had become separated and unsecured. The vehicle was not repaired. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Driving in traffic when suddenly a large volume of smoke was pouring out from my vehicle obscuring the view of everyone behind me. Pulled over and shut down, found coolant all over engine bay and had vehicle towed to dealership. Dealership replaced hose assembly under warranty but was without vehicle for 6 weeks waiting on the part.

The side sliding doors malfunction and have almost squashed my grandchildren. It doesn’t happen every time but often enough to where it is dangerous. I received a letter about it but the letter states it is only covered for repair if the mileage is under 100,000 miles. I have over that.
