2010 DODGE RAM 1500- Algonquin, IL
While driving my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, the key fob (FOBIK) has fallen out of the ignition while actively driving. The key can be removed from the ignition while actively driving with little to no effort. Upon this happening, the vehicle sometimes remains fully operable, at times it remains driving but looses speedometer, wipers, heat/ac, running/brake lights and turn signals, or the vehicle will completely shut off, losing all function and drivability to include power steering. In one instance, the vehicle remained driving but lost wipers and lights during a night time storm. On another occasion, the vehicle lost all drivability traveling at a high rate of speed at night with traffic on a highway in a rural area with no streetlights. This defect has provided for a multitude of highly dangerous events while driving. There IS a recall (recall ref K08) describing this exact issue, however my VIN was not included in the recall and is not being recognized and or honored for recall repair by local Chrysler Dodge Dealerships or by Chrysler Headquarters. Chrysler Headquarters customer service communicated it is the responsibility of the NHTSB to add my VIN to the recall in order for the repair or replacement of the faulty WIN module along with replacement and programming of key fobs to be covered. This repair is estimated to cost $2500.

The actuator for cabin air engages when vehicle is completely off. This is due to a short in the electrical system, causing the actuator to function when power is directly applied. This could cause the electrical system to overheat and cause a fire.

2009 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN- Sugar Grove, PA
I had a flat tire (drivers front). I Parked on a level parking lot. I put bricks behind other tires to prevent movement. Next I loosened lug nuts, I then removed the spare and original equipment jack. I began jacking the car up with the jack in the area indicated for jacking by the instructions. The tire was off the ground. I was beginning to spin off the lug nuts when the car dropped with a brrrrrt sound. The main screw in the scissors jack pulled through the threaded nut on the end. The jack was still upright but the screw threads failed. No one was hurt but the potential is high for the jack to fail suddenly and without warning. Note the van was not occupied or in any way loaded. The second picture attempts to show the screw threads deformed after pulling through the nut.

2019 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN- San Antonio, TX
The left front driver's power seat got stuck forward. After the seat got stuck forward, then it couldn't be moved backwards, up or down, nor can the seat be reclined forward or backwards, so it's very difficult for me to drive the car. If I were any taller than [XXX] , I would not be able to get into the front seat, and I definitely would not be able to drive it either. When I have to shift the gears back & forth between the brake pedal and the gas pedal, it hurts my Surgical leg (I had a total hip replacement nearly 6 months ago), since I have to use my right foot, causing pain to shoot all the way up my leg to my hip, and it's been hurting my back, as well. In the attached photo, it shows how far up the seat is in relation to where the steering wheel is located. I have also attached the Owner's Manual. The relevant pages regarding the front driver's power seat are between 46 & 48. When you go on YouTube, it shows that a large # of people have had this same issue. We all have came to similar conclusions: 1) Did a fuse blow? 2) Is there a short in the System? And 3) Did the Power Seat Motor stop working? Yes! But, why did it stop working? There seems to be a Manufacturing Flaw. Otherwise, this many vans would not be experiencing the same exact issue. I had the seat looked at by 210 Family Auto Mechanic. Nothing was blocking the seat underneath. The seat is not off track. And, the Power Seat Switch is still working!!
