Son drove my car and lost control as it sprung out of control and he hit a tree. No airbags deployed during that impact. My insurance company totaled my car out but really didn’t give a reason as to why they didn’t deploy with such a hard hit. Police impounded my car and insurance company inspected my car for a settlement. I asked them why and I said I had to take it up with the manufacturer. He walked away with miner cuts. That could have resulted in his death.

2018 DODGE CHARGER- Martinsburg, WV
The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, there was an abnormal, repetitive thud sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the wheel bearings were replaced; however, after the repair, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the mechanic, where a diagnostic test was performed, and it was determined that the driveshaft needed to be replaced. The contact purchased the driveshaft and had the part replaced by the mechanic. Despite the repair, the failure returned after exiting the highway. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V281000 (Power Train) and associated the failure with the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

Drivers DRL failed within 3 yrs. This is LED and supposed to last 10-15 yrs. Extended bumper to bumper warranty won’t cover. It’s nearly 2k to fix. Risk is less visibility during daytime to other drivers. Is this led bulb, electrical, fuse, ballast? No one seems to know. 2 dealerships say have to replace entire headlight system for nearly 2k!!!

2001 DODGE RAM 1500- DeLand, FL
The contact owned a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while exiting a parking lot and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the brake pedal floored, causing the contact to roll to a stop on the side of the road. The ABS and Brake Warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to drive at 2 MPH to their home. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed that the brake line had blown and replaced it where it had failed. Approximately 6 months later, the ABS and brake warning lights illuminated again. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed no leaks. When restarting the vehicle, the warning lights were no longer illuminated. While driving at an unknown speed, the ABS and brake lights illuminated again. The vehicle was taken to Meineke Car Care Center to a certified mechanic. The following morning, the lights were not illuminated. The vehicle was returned to Meineke Car Care Center, who stated that it may have been a computer glitch causing the lights to illuminate, then turn off when the vehicle was restarted. The contact had the brakes replaced as routine maintenance; however, after doing so, while driving in the rain at approximately 25 mph and attempting to apply the brakes, the brakes failed, causing the vehicle to rear-end the vehicle in front. The air bags did not deploy. The contact did not sustain injuries or require medical attention. The contact assumed the other driver had injuries, but could not confirm. A police report was filed. The contact was able to drive at a slow speed to their home. The ABS and Brake lights were illuminated. 2016 DODGE DART- Mantua, NJ
Transmission shift cable failure occurred on our 2016 Doge Dart. The vehicle was stuck in Drive and we were unable to shift the transmission to Park or Neutral, or to completely turn off or start the vehicle. I had to disconnect a battery to shut off the vehicle. This is part of an unrepaired Manufacturer recall A0C. The vehicle was towed to a dealer for repair; however, the dealer is refusing to repair the issue or replace any parts. The tow truck driver managed to re-attach the transmission cable to force the car into neutral during towing, and the dealer is stating that everything is fine and they will let us know when a remedy will be available. This is unacceptable. There needs to be a difference between a "vehicle may experience a transmission shift cable failure" vs. the vehicle that has already experienced the failure. On top of it the dealer is charging me a fee because they evaluated the vehicle. I contacted Stelantis customer service about the recall and they are basically telling me there is nothing they can do and just deal with it. Stelantis Case# 95608092. This vehicle is unsafe to operate and the manufacturer or the dealer are unwilling to even attempt a repair.

The ABS module has malfunctioned which affects the cruise control, most of the dash controls on the steering wheel and has several lights on the dash that stay lit. The Dodge dealer is aware of this and states that right now there is no fix from Dodge. I'm putting an estimate date below due to ongoing issue.
