2018 FORD F-250 SD Complaints

While driving on the freeway at 75 miles an hour the whole truck started shaking violently! I had to back out of it to get it to stop. I continue driving at 65 miles an hour and I hit a small bump in the road and it again started shaking violently! It started approximately 30 minutes ago and has happened three more time!

With no indication the truck started shaking violently after driving over an overpass expansion joint at about 60-65 mph on highway. After slowing to about 20-25 mph in breakdown lane, it seem to go away. Approximately 3-4 miles down the highway, again going over an expansion joint to a bridge this time, it happened again. With the same process of pulling into the breakdown lane and reducing speed to 20-25 mph it went away. Obviously looking this up on the internet, you come across the Ford death wobble. If this doesn’t constitute a recall, what does, death..

Driver door is freezing and will not latch, having to hold the door while driving to keep from flying open. Recall done at dealership, two years ago. Johnson City Ford, Johnson City, TN. Dealership is stating that there is no coverage on those repairs after the recall "repair". The dealership failed to correct recall the first time for same issue.

Traveling 75 mph on a 3 lane interstate with mild expansion joint cracks and imperfections caused the steering to start shaking violently and I could not control the vehicle. I swerved across a lane of traffic into the median / emergency lane while other vehicles attempted to avoid me. I had to slow to under 20mph to regain control of the steering. I refer to this condition as death wobble. Truck has 54,000 miles and has no suspension or wheel/ tire modifications and no previous damage.

Going down Interstate 99 in Pennsylvania I hit a bump on the approach of a bridge at 65mph front end started shaking violently almost lost control of truck had to pull to shoulder and slow down until it cleared up. I got out and checked everything could not see anything visibly wrong with the front end. It is a 2018 F-250 with 23,000 miles on it. When I bought it the dealership said the death wobble was takin care of. I asked about the issue before I bought the truck but obviously it has not been fixed correctly this is a concern as I pull a camper in the summer months quite often.

Traveling at highway speeds(above 55 mph) I’ve hit a small bumps in the road on multiple occasions. The problem has occurred several times where the vehicle shakes violently until I slow down to about 40 mph. Googling the problem informed me this is a problem with Ford superdutys and the phenomen is referred to as “death wobble”. The article provided a link to nhtsa.

Driving on highway went over bridge expansion joint and steering wheel and front tires began shaking severely had to pull over almost causing accident. Now it happens more often on any bump. Have heard this is called the death wobble and see how this could be EXTREMELY dangerous for my family. Don’t understand with so many complaints that nothing has been required of FORD to address and fix this super unsafe problem. I hope by putting this on the record that if something happened, there would be documentation of my complaint to hold Ford responsible. A response from you would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was driving down the road at approximately 60 mph and the steering wheel and whole truck started to shake violently. I had to slow down to around 20 mph to get it to stop. I had an almost impossible time just keeping the truck under control. This has happened twice now within the past 3 weeks

While merging onto the interstate yesterday, there was a slight bump in the road and the truck began violently vibrating, including the steering wheel. The vibration lasted at least 10 seconds this time, making steering very difficult. This is at least the third time this has happened in the past 2 months. Upon researching, this seems to be an very big issue with these trucks & has been named "the death wobble" on MANY websites. This is obviously a huge safety issue. What would happen in icy conditions? This could have deadly consequences and cannot understand WHY Ford has not recalled for correction!
