2023 GMC YUKON- Boca Raton, FL
My wife was driving in the vehicle with our two (2) infants on Dixie Hwy in Boca Raton, FL when the breaks suddenly stopped working. Fortunately, there was not a lot of traffic on the road at this time and eventually the vehicle slowed down and no one was injured. No warning lights came on. Once the car came to a complete stop my wife turned off the vehicle and started it back up; still no warning lights or anything. My wife drove a little further to get to a safer location (not in the middle of the road), unfortunately the car then completely stopped working and my wife was still stuck in the middle of the road...eventually a police officer (crash inspector) came to the scene and the car was towed to the dealership for repairs.

2016 GMC YUKON- Sag Harbor, NY
Check engine light came on. Immediately went to reputable local repair shop. Shop advised push rod bent due to faulty engine. Advised to call GMC because not normal wear and tear. Called GMC expressed my frustration about this being preexisting issue w this engine. GMC corp told me I had to ship to GMC dealership at my own expense then they could help me. Local GMCs backed up 6-8 wks. Towed car 1.5 hrs away. Mechanic told me not to worry this happens all of the time, GMC will take care of it. Pointed out a row of new trucks with my incl new Escalade with same issue. I spoke to a sales rep about trading my car in for new but he said engine issue still not resolved. He advised me to lease Escalade for $900 because by the time my engine blew my lease would be up; if not GMC fix under warranty!! Mechanic said new engine but GMC will take care of it. I waited 3+ months for GMC to authorize repair. GMC said they did not get docs but mechanic sent me verification of conversation and repair order sent to GMC. Mechanic received an unrelated warranty from GMC that said my issue was not covered. Mechanic said docs sent made no sense bc he sent the right warranty and he was sorry and embarrassed by GMC behavior. I finally paid over 14K for new engine. Picked up my car and drive a block and car still knocking and engine light came back on. I had returned my rental and no way home. In tears dealership gave me my rental keys back still all at my expense. The mechanic calls me two days later to tell me my torque needs to be replaced. I am hysterical, 14k spent, and car still not fixed. GMC told me to pay additional funds for torque converter or pick up. Threatened to charge storage fees. When I discussed their liability GMC became very rude and antagonistic. They cut off my communication with their lead mechanic. Took care of back to local repair shop. He said this smells of a law suit so would not touch vehicle. I all communication 106 more files to share.

2015 GMC YUKON XL- O'Fallon, IL
The amount of rust that has been exposed is absolutely insane. My adjuster found the initial section of rust when we had the Yukon in for repairs from a storm. In the past 2 months, the rust has caused a massive hole underneath the rear passenger's side door and we have had no choice but to get it repaired. The initial estimate for this single repair is going to be over $3400. This rust easily could've broken down further and gotten into the brakes and other components right behind it as it sits very close to the wheel well. This is an absolutely dangerous issue and should be addressed.

2023 GMC YUKON XL- Oakhurst , NJ
I was driving on a highway with my [XXX] son and 2 dogs when without any warning the vehicle just stopped and completely went dead. I was unable to turn on the hazards so I called 911, the police came within minutes and surrounded the vehicle to keep us from being crashed into. The brakes failed to work, the hazard lights would not work, the doors would not open other than the driver door. The police had to help remove my child and 2 dogs from the vehicle through the driver door. The vehicle could not be put into neutral so the police had to tow the vehicle from the middle of the highway. The result could have been deadly. The vehicle was completely dead with absolutely no function. After the police towed it to the police tow facility it was then towed to the GMC dealership I purchased the vehicle from. The dealership is Jim Curly GMC in Keyport NJ. The dealership has had the vehicle since Saturday and is claiming to not know what is wrong with the vehicle. My transmission is causing a lot of shaking and hard shifting and it's very detrimental to my physical and psychological health. I am a disabled veteran with back problems and every time my Yukon shakes (almost every single shift) it hurts my back and makes it difficult to do anything. This is a very, very common issue with this year make and model but nothing seems to be getting accomplished. GM needs to remedy these issues as a recall since most of us can't afford the $5000-$12000 that this type of repair is going to cost us and GM knows that this is an issue. I can't continue to risk my family's health and safety with this vehicle and it needs to be fixed immediately!

2021 GMC TERRAIN- Kenmore , NY
Drive shaft on my GMC Terrain needs to be repaired according to my repair shop. I brought it in as it was vibrating on acceleration and other times frequently. I was told it was the “drive shaft” and the mechanic states they have had Equinox and GMC Terrains coming in for same issue. (Specifically my year Terrain) I looked up and found this recall # for this issue: N212343560. I was never notified and now have a very expensive repair bill which may or may not fix the issue.
