The infotainment center glitches and starts clicking things on its own, often changing the volume to all the way loud suddenly orchanging radio station constantly, startling me while I am driving and causing major distraction which can easily lead to an accident. Settings, including safety setting start to get changed on their own while driving as well. The edges of the screen on the infotainment center are also crackling on their own inside the screen somehow, and I am not sure if heat has caused this, and been making this issue worse because it is only ever wiped with a microfiber cloth.

A recall notice dated July 14, 2023 stated improper design of rearview camera wiring harness fastener. The fastener may become damaged from vibrations during normal vehicle use and/or while closing the lift gate. I have been told by the dealership that they do not have the parts to remedy the issue and don't know when they will have the parts. It appears that the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall in a timely manner since more than a year has passed since the recall notice was issued and they are unable to predict when the parts will be available. Recall Status: "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available" Manufacturer Recall Number: 6023G. NHTSA Recall Number: 23V-487.

2010 mazda 6 i series sedan the entire rear subframe/cradle is rotted along with all the other parts connected to it, the A arm, bumper stops, control arms, rear sway bar the entire rear under carriage. took it to the shop and they said there have been several complaints about this exact issue on several of these cars from 09-13 models. the parts was not painted correctly like the front that was recalled. exposed to all weather elements, the shop wants almost 4k for labor only to fix but the main problem is finding the rear subframe on these cars is almost impossible next to cost a fortune. now i have a yard ornament. junk yard wants to give me 170 bucks for the car but im not doing that. Mazda needs to fix this issue. i would of never know it was rotted out unless i took it to the shop for rear swaying and sagging. its all over the road. very dangerous and will cause a wreck almost certainly. please someone do something about this issue. dont have the money to fix this let alone buy another car.

The infotainment center screen has what is deemed a 'ghost screen' problem automatically raising/lowering the volume of music, changing radio stations without my guidance, adding and subtracting radio stations, a screen change from the Navigation screen to the Music/Phone screen and auto dialing people in the bluetooth cell phone list. This is a well known defect in throughout the Mazda community with Mazda extending the warantee on models prior to 2016 but not for models plagued with this problem post 2016.

  • 2024 MAZDA CX-90 PLUG-IN HYBRID
    - Fuquay Varina, NC

July 11, 2024 – Odometer – 7,604, Gas – Full, Electric – 19 Miles range - From work to Home, Receive the following errors “Engine Malfunction, Have Vehicle Inspected” and “Hybrid System Malfunction, Have Vehicle Inspected” warning lights come on. Cars behavior – Air conditioning motor running but not cooling air, Loss of power and car very sluggish (have to be careful at intersections), seems to maintain speed even when taking foot of gas and requires extra breaking, seems to be clunky when transmission upshifts/downshifts at times. When leaving work, did not seem to like being in EV mode even though fully charged (Chargers at work) and would switch itself out of that move and say unavailable. Outside air temperature 90 degree (Air Conditioning not working, very uncomfortable). This defect is dangerous and I serious concerns driving this car such as unpredictable loss of power when entering traffic and hesitation / unpredictability when hitting the accelerator. In addition, with the car maintain speed while not touching the gas pedal and requiring extra breaking is a scary. June 13 – Issue cleared and wanting lights were gone before I was able to take it in for service. July 25th – Recurrence of the same issue - Odometer – 8,162, Gas – Full, Electric – 14 Miles range - From work to Home, Receive the following errors “Engine Malfunction, Have Vehicle Inspected” and “Hybrid System Malfunction, Have Vehicle Inspected” warning lights come on. From the information I have gathered, this is a common issue affecting many Mazdas ranging from 2014 to 2018. The issue is what the Mazda Community calls "Ghost touch" Our infotainment screens will start clicking buttons on its own including increasing the volume or switching screens. Additionally songs will switched. Why is this a safety hazard? This causes a distraction that can occur at any moment. For instance, if you are driving down the highway and all of a sudden your volume goes up to an unpleasant volume, your natural reaction is to turn down the volume, causing a distraction. Same can be said about song switching or screen repeatedly changing.

The 2019 Mazda CX5 GT started to make a clicking noise coming from the engine. After much investigation online, sharing multiple resources of videos and sound this seems to be the hydraulic lash adjusters for this specific year and model. Unfortunately this is outside the normal warranty and wasn't noticed until now. The car was inspected by local independent service center. This would pose risk to my family and others if the vehicle seized to work properly. There were no warnings given other than the clicking noise and inspected.

Corroded Subframe led to almost complete separation of drivers side control arm, 72k original miles, took my problem to Bergery Mazda where no one cared. If the part was already replaced in 2014 how is it possibly broken already.
