I was driving when it felt like the vehicle was reving in park then the "wrench" icon appeared on my dash. I went a couple blocks & my vehicle felt like it wasn't shifting automatically as it should. I pulled over & turned it off. It started right back up with no lights on, I went half a block & stopped at a stop sign but while stopped the engine reved up. I was worried I was going to be in an accident. Then the "wrench" light came back on, since I was close to home I figured I'd just try to get home. About another block, the check engine light came on & was making strange noises. I kept my vehicle at about 5-10 mph & got it home. My car was very jerky.

After receiving the Safety Recall Notice 19S54 in the mail, I contacted my local Ford dealership and set up an appointment. On May 24, 2021, I brought my car to the dealership for this recall. At this time, I explained that the brake pedal was going to the floor intermittently. The car had 134,880 miles on it. The Hydraulic Control Unit was inspected and supposedly passed. So the dealer flushed the brake system and replaced the cap. After leaving the dealership, the car sat for several weeks. Two weeks after driving it again, I noticed that the brake pedal was going to the floor and it was difficult to stop the vehicle. I called the dealer and set up another appointment. The dealer had me wait about two weeks. On August 2nd, I brought my car back to the dealer for the same brake issue (Safety Recall 19S54). At this time the car had 135,492 miles. Again they inspected the brakes and the Hydraulic Control Unit. This time they found the HCU Assembly to be faulty and recommend that it be replaced. However, Ford Motor Company is refusing to cover this part under the Safety Recall 19S54 because they closed the recall after the May appointment. They want us to pay over $1500 to have it fixed.

Catalytic converter FAIL, engine idles rough while in park. HIGH Loss of engine power while driving Differentials in back tires are imbalanced…timing FAIL. Steering not calibrated, drivetrain out of sync altogether. Back wheels, left and right; randomly spin & torque hard while car is already in motion on any private road, hidden road, domestic road and high capacity, high speed highway, causing vehicle to fishtail uncontrollably and dangerously, and wildly side to side potentially veering off the road which could result in death unless the driver regains proper control of vehicle. Out of sync car computer and the mechanical devices built into car do not have proper timing performed on those particular moving parts altogether. The car was not manufactured properly mechanically nor electrically altogether. Headlights & electric system etc have an incomplete recall on my vehicle. At least once a month, when I pull out of my driveway and press the brake pedal it goes all the way to the floor and the car doesn't stop. This happened again on August 3rd, 2021. I have had it to the dealer for this issue and paid to have the ABS valve replaced out of pocket. Ford said the recall "didn't cover my VIN #" and they will not reimburse me. Despite having that part replaced, at significant expense, the issue still happens fairly frequently. Driving the car around the block slowly, repeatedly pumping the brakes, is the only way to temporarily resolve the issue.
