I started my car and about one minute later I heard an explosion from the rear of the vehicle and saw it engulfed in flames.

Headlight severe crazing/crackle and DLR module failure. Both Porsche NA and extended warranty fail to cover or take responsibility for this poorly mfr’d part that is dangerous as it limits visibility as well as others seeing you. I want Porsche NA to own up to this hazardous parts failure.

The contact owns a 2005 Porsche Cayenne. The contact stated that fuel was leaking from the vehicle. There was an abnormal fuel odor. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V576000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact replaced the fuel filter and repaired the vehicle. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that parts were on back order. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 157,290.

The contact owns a 2020 Porsche Taycan. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V732000 (Electrical System) after owning the vehicle for a week. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who then stated that because the vehicle had an aftermarket charger inside, the repair could not be performed unless a charger was purchased from the dealer. The dealer confirmed that the aftermarket charger would not perform as needed, and the recall repair would not be successful. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

This is a brand new electrical vehicle (2025), with just under 1000 miles on it. I was driving on a medium-speed highway when an electrical system error message appeared suddenly and the car lost the ability to accelerate. I coasted into the shoulder, shut it off, and unsuccessfully tried restarting it a few times before it came back on without the error message and allowed me to drive a few more miles. About 5 minutes later, the same thing happened--the same message appeared and it suddenly stopped accelerating. I coasted for a short distance but was only able to get partially out of the road. The car had to be towed. Porsche identified problem with one of the battery cells, and estimated 3 weeks for repair.

The seat belt mechanism does not retract on the passenger side of my 2021 Porsche Boxster GTS 718. There was no warning and nothing happened to have caused this. This seat is hardly used as I am the sole driver of this. The seat belt was looked at by a body shop and dealer and we were warned it is an extremely unsafe to have someone in that seat . It does not work as designed and would be dangerous for someone in a short stop or accident etc. At just reached the 4 year mark from when I bought it, seems like a defect in the belt mechanism, according to car experts, as mentioned above .

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2016 Porsche Macan S with approximately 130,000 miles on the odometer. The contact later obtained a Carfax report on the vehicle and discovered that the last odometer reading was at 190,000. The vehicle was a private dealer sale. The seller was contacted regarding the discrepancy. No further information was available.

Two separate instances of fuel line failure and fuel leak in the engine compartment. The first in March 2024 and the second in September 2025. The situations both resulted in fuel leaking on top of the hot engine components. Repair requires removal of the engine and transmission. In 2024 repair time was 9 weeks, in 2025 - 3 weeks. In the first case service was covered under warranty, the second partially covered by extended warranty. Repair costs approximately $6,000 per occasion. Leaking fuel on a hot engine clearly created an unacceptable hazard. The vehicle was serviced, and the defect confirmed, at Porsche of Fort Myers (Florida) on both occasions. Evidence of the problem was identified via fuel smell only - no warning messages in the vehicle occurred.

The contact owns a 2008 Porsche Cayenne. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V446000 (Power Train) and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer previously completed the recall remedy. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was sent confirmation of the VIN being clear of recalls. In addition, the contact stated that the VINTool shows 1 recall associated with the VIN however, per the NHTSA VIN Tool shows no recalls associated with the VIN.
