The contact owns a 2021 Porsche Taycan. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V732000 (Electrical System) and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were contacted. The vehicle was repaired.

The contact owned a 2023 Porsche Macan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced a loss of automotive power and hesitated to restart as intended. No warning light was illuminated. In addition, the contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from under the hood, and the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the failure had progressed over time. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, no failures were identified. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The rear subframe of my 2015 Porsche Macan has suffered severe corrosion to the extent that it was no longer safe to operate the vehicle. This corrosion led to an unexpected failure of the subframe, causing the rear end of the vehicle to essentially collapse. As a result, significant damage occurred to both the control arms and the rear differential. A local independent repair shop specializing in German-made vehicles (Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, VW) assessed the subframe and confirmed that it was in extremely poor condition, having prematurely rotted and failed. Porsche offers a 12-year limited warranty against corrosion for body panels, but this warranty does not extend to the subframe. The cost of repairs to address the damage, performed by the independent shop, amounted to $3,600. It is worth noting that this issue is widely recognized among owners of 2015-2018 Porsche Macan and Audi Q5 models, as both vehicles share the same subframe. The problem appears to stem from a design flaw related to the inferior materials used in the construction of the subframe. Porsche is aware of this recurring issue, yet has not taken any corrective action to resolve it.

I was driving on the highway at 60mph on a 4 month old 2025 Porsche Macan Ev 4S. I turned off the AC for both driver and passenger. I suddenly started seeing increasingly larger clouds of black smoke coming out of the passenger side of the cabin, and a clear and increasing smell of something burning. I had to roll down my windows because of the smoke. The cabin filled with black smoke. I tried different things to see if something was broken, and as part of my troubleshooting I turned the AC back on. That got the smoke to clear. There was no warning indicator, no message and no service required indicator on my dash. I did not receive any recall notices. I brought the car in to the Porsche Bellevue Service Center to get it serviced. The service attendant insisted that as the car was not reproducing the issue at that exact moment there was nothing they could do more than a visual inspection. I insisted and they agreed to investigate. They found an active Porsche bulletin for my vehicle, SY 828055 'Smoke and or a burnt odor from vents in the passenger compartment'. The service center did replace the passenger ac unit and this has not happened since. The attendant was clearly not trained on these bulletins as they kept denying anything could possibly be wrong with the car telling me 'we can't just take your car apart for a problem that happened once'. When this was in fact what needed to happen. A electric car that's 4 months old catching fire at 60mph on the highway is not normal. It's a major safety issue. If I hadn't lucked into turning the AC on I imagine this would have been a major fire on the freeway. Can you help bring this to Porsche's attention? I'm surprised this was not part of a recall.

The 2020 (and possibly 2019) Porsche Macan passenger (right) side headlight (low beam only) is failing. About four months ago the right headlight on my Macan went out and after taking to the dealer, I was informed that the critical headlight failed (the car was less than five years old. Taking the problem to the internet, I found the EXACT problem has occurred to many 2020 Porsche Macans, and seems limited to the right low beam headlight. There are multiple cases reported on Reddit, Macan Forum, Rennlist and other Porsche boards. The dealer informed me that the whole assembly needs to be replaced, which is what all of the posts online stated as well. the cost to replace the assembly if $5,000 ($4,500 part, plus labor). I'd estimate the vehicle is worth $40,000, so one headlight costs more than 10% of the vehicle value (?!?). The dealer seemed to agree with me and checked with Porsche, who acknowledged the problem but said there has not been a recall. A headlight is integral to the safe operation of the vehicle, and the car had no sensor to inform me it was out, and I only found out by a friend telling me. At this stage the vehicle would not pass a safety inspection.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2021 Porsche Cayenne. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase on 5/29/25, the mileage was 21,000. The contact had taken the vehicle to another dealer for other repairs, and the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was flagged for Odometer Fraud, and the actual mileage was 90,000. The dealer found an odometer tampering device still located on the vehicle, but deactivated the device. The contact called the State Attorney General's Office for New Jersey.

Taycan HV battery cells/modules going bad causing the car to be a brick and not drivable and dangerous. Porsche is replacing the failed cells but it can be an ongoing issues that can spread to other cells.

Oil leak from Timming Cover, make oil smoking burn strong smell in to the cabin. My kids feel not good when breathing evrytime when they on the car.

There was a recall on the passenger sideair bag sensor for previous years but the issue is still occurring in my 2021 Porsche macan turbo. The error code reports a faulty air bag sensor. The recall should be extended to later year models. Thank you

I am reporting a safety defect with my 2021 Porsche Cayenne GTS. The leather dashboard is delaminating and lifting away from its underlying structure. This defect is concerning because: The delamination is occurring on the drivers side but will eventually expand in the area covering the passenger-side airbag. If the airbag deploys, the raised/lifted dashboard material may interfere with or obstruct proper deployment, posing a serious risk to passenger safety. Porsche Cars North America (PNA) has been notified, but they classify this issue as “cosmetic” and refuse to repair it voluntarily under warranty or goodwill. Furthermore, The issue was not disclosed by the dealer at purchase. I have consulted two Porsche dealerships, both of which confirmed Porsche considers this a cosmetic defect not covered by the Certified Pre Owned warranty. However, given the location and potential interaction with the airbag system, I strongly believe this constitutes a safety-related defect that requires investigation. Online forums show this is a common issue across many models made by Porsche during this time but specifically SUV's. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue to determine whether the delaminating dashboards in Porsche Cayenne models create a safety hazard that requires a recall and mandatory repair.
