During rain events, headlight housings are becoming inundated with moisture (L and R sides). A quick search on multiple forums shows this is a known issue with all Porsche models. During night driving this issue reduces visibility significantly. Yes, this puts my occupants and other drivers at risk. Porsche is famous for not acknowledging and addressing out of warranty manufacturing defects, even safety issues. They would not address this issue. Brief warning lights and flashing of the headlight system was evident. This has been happening for a few years and is getting progressively worse.

While driving 40 miles per hour a sudden explosion happened with no warning. Thought it was the engine due to the smoke coming out of rear of the vehicle but realized that engine was still on and steam was coming out. All coolant drained out of vehicle and on road. Vehicle was towed to a Porsche dealership in Duluth Ga. The coolant tank exploded causing minor body damage and sudden loss of all coolant. The dealer replaced the shattered coolant tank but found no cause as to why the pressure got so high to cause the tank to explode. - Las Vegas, NV

On 9/18/2025, while driving at approximately 45 mph on a busy road called Hualapai in Las Vegas, Nevada, my Porsche Taycan suddenly displayed “Electrical system error – Park vehicle in a safe place”. The car immediately slammed to a stop in live traffic. I heard a loud thump from the front end as this occurred. I was nearly hit by six cars swerving to avoid me in the rain. Gladly no one made contact and no one was hurt. My car turned into a brick in the middle lane with lots of traffic sort of like I brake checked them all. I lost all steering as it locked up, I couldn't get out of fast moving traffic as the car wouldn't go back into drive and had to toggle to neutral and push the car. This was a life-threatening failure that created a dangerous hazard for me and other drivers.

i was driving my car and at a stop sign i started accelerating when the light turned green - i must have been going 45 mPH after the light and all of a sudden my car went into hyper acceleration speeding up to 80 mph, i was pumping my brakes and the car was still raging to accelerate. I almost ran into a semi truck in front of me becuase i could not stop my car from accelerating, my foot was on the brake padel not the accelerator and it would slow down but as soon as I take the foot off of the brake - it would go into a rage accelration again, my car also gave WBA restricted warnings while accelerating. I was finally about 2 miles of stoping and accelerating pull into a sholder with my brakes slammed, and parking brake pulled, the car finally came to a stop. I was also being followed by other cars and could have caused them to run into me as i tried to stop the car.

The factory leather dashboard has detached/ungluded in places both on the driver and passenger side. Now the dashboard cover in the passenger area does not properly line up and has bubbled up on top of the passenger air bag door. There is a high possibility that this defect will prevent the passenger air bag from properly functioning or not function at all during an accident. Several Cayenne owners have reported this problem to Porsche USA however they will only replace at the owner's request and owners expense which is in the thousands of dollars. Porsche USA said that this is not a recall item therefore they will not pay for the repair.

The leather dash on my vehicle is peeling back due to shrinkage. It is shrinking and peeling back from the front of the windshield. I am concerned it will effect the ability for the passenger side airbag to function properly.

Engine control error - Park vehicle in a safe space. This error occurred after pressing the accelerator pedal upon switching from Normal to Sport Plus drive mode. When coming to a stop, I tried to accelerate the car but it would jerk. I stopped, put my emergency signal on, turned off and on the car and the error went away.
