The heating unit and defrosting unit fail on the Porsche Taycans. I have seen this in other Porsche Taycans and it is nearly impossible to see through the windshield when it fails. I had to cautiously limp it to a Porsche dealership due to not being able to see out of the front windshield. There were no warning lamps or messages displayed simply zero heat and the driver side and passenger side windshield areas immediately fog up and it is impossible for it to be reduced.

I have 71 documented cases of Porsche Taycan heating systems failing at https://github.com/evstatus/PorscheTaycan/issues/1 The issue affects all Taycan models going as far back as 2020. This is a safety issue that requires that the car be flatbed towed when the heating system fails, as it affects the ability to effectively defrost and defog the windows in cold environments.

Cabin heater in the car failed during very cold temperatures. Making the windows fog up considerably. Limiting my trips to short distances until this problem can be fixed due the safety concern of the windows fogging during longer trips. No warnings to the failure, dealer is aware of this being a common issue on the Taycan.

My 2016 Porsche Macan Turbo steering column failed w/o warning at 7 years & 39,000 miles. November 2022. Porsche Dealer told me car is not safe to drive with steering column able to move up & down. So, I had to pay to have it towed to the dealer. PCNA denied Goodwill coverage of this manufacturing defect! The Service Manager offered to cover 50% & I accepted this offer. So, I had to pay out of pocket $1,643.50. It is not normal for steering columns to fail. The Porsche shop foreman said he has never seen this. Steering columns should last the life of the car.

We purchased the 2005 Porsche Cayenne from my brother-in-law in August of 2022. He had owned the vehicle for at least a year before I purchased it from him. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed the engine light came on. On 09/12/22 a strong smell of fuel was emitting from the vehicle in a Walmart parking lot in Denton, Texas at approximately 1030pm. I noticed a large puddle of gasoline on the ground under the vehicle and it was steady stream of fuel while the vehicle was running. The vehicle was completely unsafe to drive for fear of ignition and fire. Due to the time and location, I had the vehicle towed to my mechanic approximately 3 miles away for diagnosis and/or repair. The closest Porsche dealership was approximately 25 miles away and the tow bill would have been excessive. Mechanic identified the problem as a cracked fuel filter flange/housing that sat on top of the fuel pump. The cracked fuel housing was replaced and the total for parts and labor was $462.48. No leaking fuel since repair. A few weeks later my brother-in -law contacted me and advised he had just received a recall (OCTOBER 2022) in the mail from Porsche for the exact part I had repaired (17V-576 / AH10). He mailed me the recall and I contacted Porsche for a reimbursement. They stated they only refund for repairs done at a Porsche dealership. I believe Porsche should cover the repair cost for their faulty equipment even after the recall was received. A Porsche Service Center would charge Porsche Corporate much more for this repair than what I paid. Please assist me in getting a refund for my expense of ($462.48) for the repair of Porsche's recall. No windshield defrosting and defogging in my 2022 Taycan 4S (purchased new a year ago). Impaired visibility. No heat in passenger compartment. Dealer found electric heater failed and needed replacement. The high-voltage electric in-line heater heats the coolant used for windshield defrosting and defogging, as well as passenger compartment heat. See attachment for system description. The Taycan electric heater is a critical vehicle component to ensure visibility and avoid crashes. In the last 2 years, over 70 Taycan owners (US, Canada, Europe) have reported Taycan electric heater failures in online forums. Three owners have had a second Taycan heater failure a year after the first heater was replaced. Taycan model years 2020, 2021 and 2022. See attachment for owner online posts with URLs.

The contact owns a 2004 Porsche Cayenne. The contact stated that while the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a recall repair appointment, he noticed that the steering wheel had a quarter inch of play. The U-Joint connection was severely corroded. The dealer diagnosed that the steering column and steering shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 266,969.

Car displayed the following message: Electrical system error Park vehicle in a safe place

While driving my Porsche Taycan 2021 (5000 miles) Nov 4th, 2022, at highway speeds on I-15 to Vegas, the instrument cluster started flashing "Electric System Error" and instructed me to park in safe place immediately and call Roadside Assistance. I had to park on the hard shoulder and wait for a tow truck. It was scary as there were big rigs passing my every 10-20 seconds. Car was towed to the Porsche dealer in Vegas. Upon inspection it was found that the "High Voltage Converter" had malfunctioned and had to be replaced. This is very concerning that a critical EV component can fail in new car, which had done just over 5000 miles. Dealer replaced the component and now the vehicle is running fine but I am very skeptical to take the car out on long drives.

Spontaneous shutdown of the vehicle while driving. Critical failure of motility while driving. Driving at 50km per hour extremely dangerous as car just shutdown and I had to try to roll off the road but it died so I had to put it in neutral and push it by hand on a busy road. Car has been at the dealer for 3 weeks now. The spontaneous shut occurred and a red light came on.
