The motor experienced a catastrophic failure causing the rod to blow through the top of the engine, cutting a fuel line and causing a fire. It was later determined and passed to me via unofficial sources that this was due to a manufacturing defect where the incorrect camshaft bearings were used on specific pistons. Via online and first account conversations, it seems this has happened at least 12 other times. Those vehicles which can be found online were complete losses. Via second hand conversations, Porsche technicians said this was the first instance where the fire didn't consume the entire vehicle so they could RCA the problem.

Porsche dashboard leather shrunk and staples pulled out. I was told that if the vehicle was in an accident the airbag might not deploy correctly. The Porsche dealer looked at it and recommended replacing the entire dashboard which costs over $10,000. This is apparently a very common issue.

I am filing a complaint regarding an ongoing and unresolved HVAC odor issue affecting my 2023 Porsche Cayenne S Platinum Edition. Since shortly after taking ownership, the vehicle has consistently produced a strong mildew/musty odor after sitting for several hours. The odor is most noticeable upon startup and only dissipates once the air conditioning system begins circulating. The vehicle has been in and out of the dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair attempts, yet the issue remains unresolved. Despite the vehicle remaining under the original manufacturer warranty, the dealership has refused to replace the evaporator coil, which I believe to be the source of the issue. The persistent odor negatively impacts vehicle usability and raises concerns regarding potential mold, bacteria, or HVAC contamination within the system. I am requesting further investigation into this issue and Porsche’s handling of repeated unresolved repair attempts under warranty.

Component/System: Exterior lighting — right front low beam headlight. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2019 model year vehicle has 65,000 miles Safety risk: The right low beam headlight failed, reducing forward visibility on the right side during nighttime driving and in low-visibility conditions. This creates risk of failing to see pedestrians, road hazards, or lane markings, and may cause oncoming drivers or law enforcement to misidentify the vehicle as a motorcycle. Dealer/service confirmation: Failure has not yet been confirmed by a dealer. Manufacturer/other inspection: No additional inspections conducted. Prior warning symptoms: No warning lamp or dashboard message appeared prior to failure. The headlight went out without prior indication.

"Engine temperature too high. Park vehicle and allow engine to cool". warning at 50,000 miles which the mechanic says this is a huge problem with all Porsche, Audi and VW due to water coolant changeover valve which fails and also stated that Porsche is aware and should have a "bulletin" open on this issue?

I had a red sign on dashboard saying:*chassis failure, park the car carefully.* the car was towed to Porshe. And, was released after one week as safe to drive and dismissed the sign as a glitch. The second day of releasing the car, I had a major accident while parking the car in the garage. The accident resulted in damage to the outer wall and to cabinets. I requested an investigation of the car and the results from Porshe weren’t convincing. I know I pushed the brake twice but the car jumped with acceleration twice and stopped because of the wreckage in front of it.

Door failed to open from inside. Vehicle was used to travel approximately 6 miles from my home to a store. Upon arrival, the vehicle was placed into park. The door would not open from the inside and I was unable to exit the vehicle. Attempts were made to lock and unlock the door, in addition to pushing on the door with my body while holding the door handle in the open position. Only after placing the car into reverse and back into park did the door open normally. At the next stop, the door opened from the inside, but only after a few seconds and two attempts. The problem has not repeated itself in the 5 to 10 trips since.

I noticed that my passenger side headlight was out but no warning was given in the dashboard. If I hadn’t noticed that the ‘round the corner’ lights were not working it might have taken me a while to figure it out presenting a safety issue
