BRIDGESTONE TIRES Complaints

I went to Firestone in 2023 about my tire recalled and they claimed there was no recalled. I went again on July 5th, 2025 to changed all my tires but three of them were the tire mentioned. I provided documentation but the agent refused any recalled. Today July 22 , the manager Jason C told me tire recalled only last 6 months and he looked at the recall but per him is not applicable because I used the tire. I was expecting free replacement of 3 tires but they refused or willing to made an adjustment. I'm looking to see if the comment from the manager were correct or not. The firestone location is on address: 777 Middletown Blvd, Langhorne, PA 19047-1823 phone 215-792-6901. If the firestone agent in 2023 told me there is no recall even with documentation and once again in July 2025 I was told the same thing .I will use the tires but during all this time I experience holes, changed valves and replacement one but it costed me money. P20565R16 all four tires. These tires from Bridgestone have a UTQG rating of 640 A A with a "warranty" by the manufacture of 75,000 miles. The current set of tires on my car have approximately 18,000 miles and are very worn. The tire wear gauge reads 5/32 reaming tread. I doubt that the next 3/32 (5/32 - 2/32) will give me the remaining 57,000 miles. I buy my tires based on the UTQG rating. It's a good indicator of tire wear and has been fairly reliable up to this point. I Googled the tire to see if others have similar experience. The answer was YES. It appears that Bridgestone has a problem with tire wear on these tires. Reviews all pointed to terrible tire wear. Sadly, My wife's car had Firestone tires that we just replaced. Those had only 22,000 miles, but had a 600 UTQG rating. It appears that Firestone /Bridgestone do not know how tear wear works. First time in my life I was this disappointed in a tire company, but Firestone certainly had it's share of problems in the past. Someone needs to do an evaluation of Firestone tire rating practice. For me, it's too late. Thanks.

Tires have 3k miles . For the past 2 weeks, we have had a slow leak. Must refill air every 3 days. Spent one day at Tire Kingdom, but they could not detect anything. Then the Acura Dealer says there is a leak, but can't find it. We have no choice but to purchase a new tire. This is wrong - th I am retired on a fixed income and must buy a tire for a 3-month-old vehicle!

Four tires purchased June 2022. As of July 2025 with 17,500 miles on the tires there is ozone/weather cracking on the entire tire and the sidewall near the rim is failing with the cord visible on one tire.

All 4 tires showed the belts/cords in several places. Tire size: 235/45R18 . We took our car to our Lexus dealer for the 30,000 mile inspection and service. This car had the original manufacturer installed tires, with the tread wear showed that all 4 tires had more mileage remaining. The Lexus mechanic took photos of all is work, which included photos of the belts/cords actually visible in multiple spots on all 4 tires. We took one of these tires to show the Firestone dealer, but could not take all four. The Lexus dealer said it was not safe to drive this car on I95 at high speeds because a blow-out was quite possible, and our lives (and possible others)were in danger. So we bought and had installed four new tires in order to drive about 40 miles to our home. There were no warning messages about this (or any) problem. This problem can be confirmed by our dealer, Lexus of Warwick, Rhode Island. We called Bridgestone when we got safely home and were told that we had to drive the car to show the tire problem to a Firestone Service Center, but this was impossible since driving the car with unsafe tires was not reasonable. We have one bad tire we can show anyone, and the Lexus Service people can confirm that the same visible belt issue was bad on all four tires.

The vehicle is still new and has not been taken offroad other than a few boring unpaved roads. It has never hit any significant pothole. The tires still have the original OEM tire pressure, I have never removed or added air to them. At the time of the incident the tire pressure was 39psi and the temperature outside was about 80F. I was driving on the highway at about 75mph with cruise control. I started feeling a strange slight lateral instability then we heard a strong noise and we thought we had a helicopter on top of us or maybe that something else was loose in the car. As I was stopping in the shoulder it became clear that it was a tire problem as we saw pieces of tire flying off. Thankfully we were able to stop safely. Then it became clear what happened: the tire external sidewall just exploded with absolutely no reason. There was no pothole, no sudden braking or cornering. It just decided to explode. The car behaved very well given the gravity of the situation, but I lost trust in the Bridgestone Dueler H/T 245/75R17 tires that came with it. I'm no tire expert, but the broken tire sidewall construction seems very flimsy to me. This tire has no steel on the sidewall and it looks like the polyester threads is not appropriate and may even be missing in some areas. I took a large number of photos to what is left of the tire.

The contact owns a 2023 BMW X1 equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Turanza, Tire Size: 225/55/R18, DOT Numbers: 16C1005HC0723 (Rear Tires) and 16C1005HC0823 (Front Tires). The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle for service, the contact was informed that all 4 tires needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the front tires had 1-millimeter of treadwear remaining, and the rear tires had 3-millimeter of treadwear remaining. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the abnormal treadwear. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 7,000.

In Sept. 2024 we noticed that the edges of both front tires (Alenza 235/50 R20) had pieces coming off them so we arranged to have the tires replaced at the original dealer from which we had bought the car. They agreed that the tires were failing and replaced them. At that point the tires had only done 11827 miles so I asked if a warranty was applicable that would allow me to get back some of the replacement cost for the two tires. The dealer (Hazelwood Volkswagen of Bremerton, WA) said they would make inquiries and I paid the full price in the meantime. Despite numerous follow up inquiries, as well as contact with both VW USA and Bridgestone, I have not received any response. The suggestion seems to be that original equipment supplied with a new car are not covered by any warranty. After the tires were replaced I turned off the lane assist feature on the vehicle as this often seemed overly active due to random road markings. So far we have put about 3500 miles on the new tires and they seem fine. I have pieces that chipped off the old tires, and the dealer said they would hold the old tires pending a warranty response but that was in September 2024.

103H tire So after I get the car from dealership, the next week I had a sign or tire low pressure by the dashboard and I start checking everyday and I figured out that is specifically is by the driver side tire is low pressure. First I took it to discount tire to see and they said I don't see any flat tire or any issues and he pump them all and tried to balance them . But still the sign in the dashboard so I decided to take it to dealership and they said maybe only the dashboard computer and they fixed it and was not showing that day as the sign went from TEMPS setting. Next day I have the sign again pops up and I scheduled second appointment with the Honda west dealership to check entire tire.They did and said we didn't see anything wrong and we fixed it again in the dashboard.i went home and next day same issue again the dashboard sign shows low pressure and also the tire itself went low pressure was not balanced everytime they blow air on it and goes low again in few minutes.i bring it again for third time and the worse sinario is that the mechanical agent touch something in the engine and the oil explodes all over the engine areas causing leak and smoke all over and oil splashed everywhere inside and outside and I have videos and photos.

The tire right side behind the passenger sit just blow off when I was driving in the exit 232, I 15 with direction to South, Antelope DR. When that happened without any sign that the tire showed any issue at all, I was afraid that could happen when I drive in a highway by 75 miles by hour. For that reason, I replace the four tires.
