09/28/2024. Chevrolet 5.3 L V8 Silverado 1/2 ton pickup truck. I was driving on KS. Highway 7, N bound, the engine started shaking, eng light on and the engine quit. I costed to the side of the road. Number 7 cylinder dropped a valve and more damage. Mileage on vehicle 53,198. This truck had top care, as it still has. Cost to me at Hendrick Chevrolet $7,092.89. This has happened to many people with no help from GM. ITS A SHAME. GM KNEW THIS. Date of incident 09.28.2024

There is a major fuel line leak just before the high pressure fuel pump. It appears that the fuel line aggressively rubbed against an A/C line component (looks like a muffler/canister). This rubbing created a huge hole in the high pressure fuel line, causing diesel to spray everywhere on the driver side of the engine compartment. This causes a massive safety issue due to diesel fuel uncontrollably spraying onto hot engine components. In my own research, this seems to be a known problem for GM. I believe there is a TSB published for this exact problem, but I have yet to find the document online. This needs to be an official recalled item ASAP.

Component Affected: POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULEDescription of Safety Defect:The vehicle is experiencing a severe, intermittent, and violent mechanical "garage shift" engagement lurch. This occurs specifically when shifting the gear selector from Reverse to Drive during a cold-start cycle.When the gear is selected, there is a distinct hydraulic delay followed by a violent mechanical slam that causes the entire vehicle to violently lurch forward. This unintended vehicle movement occurs even though the engine has naturally idled down completely below 1,000 RPM, and while the brake pedal is fully and firmly depressed to the floor.Safety Hazard and Consequences:This defect poses an immediate and severe safety hazard. The mechanical force of the lurch is strong enough to potentially overcome the vehicle's braking system or cause a foot-slip off the pedal, resulting in sudden, unintended vehicle movement. This creates a high risk of a low-speed collision, vehicle damage, or striking a pedestrian or property during tight parking or garage maneuvers. General Motors' internal service bulletins (such as Bulletin 24-NA-009) indicate known issues with sticking clutch regulator valves or solenoid over-travel causing line pressure spikes in these modern transmissions, yet no safety recall has been issued to permanently address this dangerous powertrain defect.

I was driving on the freeway at 70 mph and my engine totally froze which made my car die and almost caused a huge accident right in the middle of the freeway. Then I had to push it off to 12 mile road gas station in the middle of oncoming traffic. My engine seized and it has been in the dealership since June 3. It is now July 4 2026th so 31 days and I still haven’t even found out if it’s my engine or not they haven’t really told me anything.

There is a frequency coming from the front of the driver's seat, steering wheel, and under the instrument panel that sends a electrical shock as you drive. If you have aluminum foil or any type of material that blocks electrical signals in the driver's seat it will shock you as well. This could definitely cause an accident while driving . This happens daily. It started in April 2026.

Tailgate unlatched while driving and all my items in the trunk fell out without me, knowing about it.

I believe My onstar control module needs to be replaced after trying every option with them over the phone “resets and full battery unplugged reset” this is a major concern for me on the safety aspect of onstars main selling point of instant reports of accidents and is in my mind a major issue. I do not believe I should be on the hook for a $700-1500 part that failed with only 59000 miles.

I own a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse RS, VIN [XXX]. This vehicle has repeated safety-related failures involving the engine/cooling system, fuel-injector/misfire system, steering-assist warning system, and electronic parking brake system. The vehicle is currently at AutoNation Chevrolet West Austin, dropped off on XXX, and is available for inspection. Soon after delivery, the vehicle began losing coolant and overheating. This was not isolated. Before the engine was finally replaced, there were at least four documented coolant/overheating-related dealer visits or repair notes: XXX. The problem repeated again on XXX, becoming the fifth coolant/overheating-related visit and resulting in GM/dealer-authorized engine replacement after internal coolant-related findings. Dealer records show low/empty coolant reservoir, overheating, fan-running symptoms, almost one gallon of coolant added, no external leak found, coolant dye added, GM TAC involvement, and internal coolant findings. After engine replacement, the vehicle continued to fail. In February 2026, it displayed check-engine light and “Steering Assist Reduced / Power Steering Reduced.” The dealer confirmed misfire and replaced cylinder 1 fuel injector. In April/May 2026, the vehicle displayed a service parking brake warning; the dealer documented left rear parking brake actuator high current. Now, on XXX, the vehicle is again at the dealer for blinking check-engine light, and the dealer advised the code shows another engine misfire. My family’s safety is at risk. Repeated overheating, engine replacement, steering-assist warning, parking brake warning, and recurring misfire create unsafe drivability risk, especially on highways, merging, intersections, or long trips. I have a Trial Boss and it wont shut off when the key is off, KEEPS RUNNING. Did some research and it gave a couple of thing to check.

My car is a 2019 not 2020 and white not gray. The gas gauge doesn’t read pressure and drops by 1/4 up or down. I don’t have all the features which were supposed to be on the car. The rear door doesn’t close. I have ice inside my front windshield in the winter. I took the car back immediately. They refused to change the vehicle to the gray trax within the 48 hours. They sold me the car in the dark. The brand new tires skidded on wet pavement, and suction cups for placing a windshield appear in the ice on the inside of the front windshield. The car is dangerous. Continental. All foot tires just replaced.
