2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Saint Augustine , FL
I test drove a 2026 Silverado 1500 at Hanania Chevrolet in Saint Augustine Florida on [XXX]. Before the test drive, I advised the salesperson in the rear seat that the Service Brake Assist light was on at the instrument panel. He advised that the light needed to be reset and he would have it taken care of. I returned to the showroom to complete the required paper work and the vehicle was cleaned and returned in front of the showroom. I drove the vehicle on [XXX] after driving a short distance the "Service Brake Assist" light again came on. I notified the service department on 6/1/2026 and drove the vehicle back to the dealership. The service advisor indicated he was going to have his best Technician repair the vehicle. I arrived at12:33 and the vehicle was completed at 12:56 PM I drove the vehicle back to my home without any issues. I left my home on [XXX] and as I turned onto the Interstate Highway, the light came on once again. After researching this issue, it is not advisable to drive the vehicle as the Antilock Braking System will not operate correctly. This vehicle should NOT have been available for any prospective customer to drive on the highway until the issue is corrected. The sales person should have verified that the brake issue was properly repaired before offering anyone a road test in the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at the Dealership. 2020 CHEVROLET BOLT EV- Sedgwick, KS
When driving the car through a busy intersection there was a sudden, brief surge of acceleration, followed by deceleration and the vehicle cutting all motor power and becoming inoperable. The MIL lamp illuminated and the "Ready" light went out. I was unable to move the vehicle out of traffic until I got out and disconnected / reconnected the 12v battery to reset the car systems. The problem is difficult to reproduce, happening randomly, sometimes with multiple months between incidents. The incidents happen with no warning, and there are no other symptoms associated with the issue. The dealer mechanic indicated it is likely the issue indicated in Chevrolet TSB 19-NA-220, indicating the root cause is the resolver feedback connector on the electric drive unit damaged during vehicle assembly.
