  • 2021 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500
    - Chicago, IL

    The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle had passed the recall inspection, and no repair was needed. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH, five months later, the engine seized in the middle of the roadway. The contact was unable to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was shifted to neutral(N) and pushed over to the side of the road with assistance. The vehicle was impounded by the local Police Department. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the engine had seized. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the recall remedy had failed to correct the issue. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: RQ26001 (Engine). The dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 125,700.

  • 2022 CHEVROLET BLAZER
    - Bowdon, GA

    My Drive Assist stopped working. Then my Air conditioning stopped blowing cold. Then the temperature gauge stopped working. Upon turning the car off the fan continued to run for several minutes. Took to repair shop where it required a new thermostat housing, coolant temp sensor and coolant flush. The total cost for repair was $1,131.52. The car has 37,000 miles on it. Barely out of warranty. This is a well-known issue among Chevy owners.

  • 2011 CHEVROLET HHR
    - Columbus , OH

    Started with gas smell and I was able to see gas dripping down from fuel pipeline in the rear wheel driver side.

  • 2021 CHEVROLET MALIBU
    - Savannah, MO

    The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse(R), there was a loud popping sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.

  • 2008 CHEVROLET HHR
    - Springfield, MA

    The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet HHR. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and turned off, the contact was informed that the vehicle was leaking gasoline. The vehicle was inspected, and the contact was informed that fuel was leaking from the driver’s side rear wheel well area, near the muffler. While at the residence, the contact observed that fuel was still leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a rusted fuel line located near the driver’s side rear wheel well, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to have the vehicle diagnosed by a dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 68,900. The VIN was not available.

  • 2018 CHEVROLET CRUZE

    The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the windshield wiper compartment inadvertently opened. There was a failure with the seat belts. The contact stated that the driver’s side seat belt was excessively loose, and the front passenger’s side seat belt was overly tight. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt assemblies had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 66,550.

  • 2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE
    - Oak Ridge, TN

    On March 14,2026 I was driving 80 MPH on the interstate and the vehicle shifted to Neutral and shutoff. Shortly before that the vehicle revved to 4000 RPM and you could feel rhythmic vibrations. The vehicle was towed to a Chevy dealership and diagnosed as loss of propulsion needing a new engine. Tahoe had 104,000 miles at failure.

  • 2024 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500
    - Wheeling, IL

    1. Transmission shudder at highway speeds between 64 and 83 miles per hour. 2. Pour fuel economy; 12.5 mpg @ 65 mph, 11.8 mpg @ 70 mph, 8-9 mpg @80 mph towing a 2025 utility trailer wiith motorcycle approximately 1800 pounds.

  • 2021 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500
    - Gastonia, NC

    The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle lunged forward while the accelerator pedal was depressed after the brake pedal was depressed. While the contact’s husband was driving approximately 78 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the transmission light drive(D) started flashing, and the transmission unexpectedly shifted to neutral(N). The driver was able to coast to the side of the road, depress the brake pedal, and wait for a while before continuing to drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, there was no cause for the transmission failure found. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 63,000.

  • 2017 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500

    Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 on January 16, 2026. The contact stated that while an independent mechanic was attempting to repair the engine, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy with the vehicle. The vehicle was a private sale. The contact called the private dealer and requested the money back that was paid to purchase the vehicle, and the dealer declined the request. The contact called the State Attorney General's Office and was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. At the time of the purchase, the mileage was approximately 182,000; it was later discovered that the correct mileage was 192,393.
