2017 CHEVROLET CAMARO- Sacramento, CA
Chevrolet has a well documented issue with the automatic transmission on my car. This is the same model transmission in other cars as well. First issue: the stock transmission fluid was incorrect. This required repairs. The underlying issue is the torque converters and solenoid. Most recently, one solenoid got stuck and forced my car into Limp mode while driving. This caused the vehicle to force 4th gear and incapacitated my ability to control my speed correctly. I was forced to pull off to the side until the computer reset itself again. A less experienced driver could potentially get into a car accident without the ability to properly regulate speed

2024 CHEVROLET EQUINOX- San Diego, CA
The AEB feature is very sensitive and has often activated when there was no good reason. For instance, it has activated a few times while moving slowly in heavy traffic. Additionally, the feature frequently activates when reversing out of a parking spot or garage, especially when the weather is rainy. In one instance during light rain, the car slammed to a halt more than five times while trying to back out of a parking spot, and there were no obstacles anywhere near the vehicle. I believe that this feature has nearly caused several accidents and has made me feel less safe while operating the vehicle. A software solution has been implemented for the 2026 model year, but not for the older models.

2022 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN- Saint Johns, FL
I own a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban RST that has experienced ongoing mechanical and safety issues over several years. I first began reporting drivability concerns to General Motors and the dealership in 2023 and continued contacting them throughout 2024 and 2025. During one dealership visit, a sales advisor rode in the vehicle with me and stated they did not observe any issues, despite my continued reports. The vehicle later suffered a loss of propulsion and required a full engine replacement. The radiator and cooling components were also replaced by a Chevrolet dealership. Due to ongoing concerns for my safety, I contacted General Motors multiple times, requested an executive buyback, and asked about Lemon Law options. GM advised that the engine had been replaced and that I needed to take ownership of the vehicle. After picking up the vehicle last Wednesday, I immediately noticed a persistent sweet coolant/radiator odor inside the cabin and outside the vehicle that continued for nearly a week. I also experienced engine hesitation/stuttering when stopped at traffic lights as the auto start/stop feature reengaged. I attempted to contact GM again regarding these concerns prior to today’s incident. Today, while driving, the vehicle displayed an engine overheating warning instructing me to turn the car off immediately. I safely pulled over and shut the vehicle down and am currently stranded roadside. Given the repeated failures, history of loss of propulsion, multiple repair attempts, denied buyback requests, persistent coolant odor, drivability issues, and now overheating shortly after engine and radiator replacement, I believe this vehicle presents an ongoing safety risk and request formal investigation.

2022 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- ELKTON, MD
I own a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a 6.2 liter engine. I had the original engine up until approx 80k in mileage when it failed, I was on a dark country road doing approximately 50mph and the propulsion system failed and the truck shut off, being a country road, I had minimum breaking and minimal steering. I had my [XXX] son in the car, we ended up in a culvert and I scraped either a large rock or a piece of concrete that sometimes line culverts, it did damage. At the time, until recently, I had no idea I should report this. I did know that GM had issued a recall and I believed the engineer would be covered, which it was. I never reported the damage to insurance as I didn't want my ins to go up anymore, so I have not fixed it yet. My [XXX] old was scared beyond belief. Anyhow, Williams Chevy in Elkton, Md replaced the engine free of any cost. I believe the dates are approx to be 9/26 to 10/25/ 2025.On or about 11/25 or 26th 2025, with approx 2k miles on the newly installed 6.2 liter engine, while traveling with my [XXX] son, I experienced another catastrophic engine failure. This time we were traveling on 896 in Delaware and rt 40. While crossing over, the car cut off completely again while traveling at 50mph. We barely avoided a collision on the other side of the intersection with merging traffic, I applied the Manuel breaks along with the power steering was out too. My spouse was angry that GM is still doing this knowing this could be the result.Upon the 2nd installation, I dropped the truck off on the above date. It took until 1/5/26 bor approx 1/9/26.On approx 2/12/26 I had the oil changed at a local jiffy lube. This was conducted at 3400 miles, less than the manufacturer suggests with the new 40w oil. Anyhow, yet again, my truck had zero rewarding on the dipstick. I have paperwork for both engine installs and the jiffy lube paperwork documenting the no reading on the dip stick.I am a disabled veteran and this is an unsafe and unreliable fix from GM. Purchased a brand new vehicle on 23Dec2025 (evening) and then drove it home and parked it in my garage. Vehicle was in my garage at 64 miles on the odometer. Vehicle started smoking and the transmission cooler line had the catastrophic failure spilling oil all over the street, driveway, and garage. It was towed from my garage to the selling dealer (Walser Polar Chevrolet in White Bear Lake, MN) on 24Dec2025. Service center confirmed a manufacturing defect in the transmission cooler line from the factory.
