2024 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN- Dacula, GA
The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The sound became significantly louder while driving. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle felt like the rear wheels would lock up. The contact stated that the rear wheels locked while reversing, causing the vehicle to jerk abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with rear axle failure. The dealer determined that the rear axle needed to be replaced. The private warranty company declined to cover the repair unless the rear axle had completely failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and declined to cover the repair because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The contact had previously reported the failure to the dealer, who could not duplicate the failure while the vehicle was still covered under warranty. Additionally, the contact stated that upon engaging the air recirculation, the contact smelled fumes. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 3500- Lennon, MI
Def pump and heater module had burned terminals. This caused failure to the def pump and heater module. This was the second instance of this happening on this truck in roughly 40,000 miles. Burned terminals can start electrical fires that are a danger to occupants and others in the vicinity. Failure of this system forces a drop in speed after so many miles that make you a danger on the road.

2023 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN- Green Bay, WI
My 2023 Chevy Suburban High Country had the L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion (Related field action: See Special Coverage N252494003) recall performed on it and completed on August 15, 2025. Higher viscosity oil was put in. This was at approximately 55,000 miles. While driving on the highway at 60mph on December 29, 2025 the vehicle twice lost propulsion and indicated the vehicle needed to be restarted. I took it to a Chevy dealer to have looked at in early January 2026 and they could find no issues or codes. On January 31, 2026 while driving on the hwy at 75 miles per hour the vehicle started to rattle and it lost propulsion. The DIC indicatd "System Failure" and I had to pull off to the shoulder of the highway. The DIC repeated "System Failure" and that the vehicle needed to be restarted. The vehicle would not restart when attempting to press the brake and restart. This happened on a busy interstate and the safety and well being of my family inside was put at a risk that could have been avoided, likely if the engine would have been replaced in August of 2025. The temperature outside was in the single digits and there was no air pushing through the vehicle while we waited for a tow truck and another family member to pick us up off the highway. There was no warning lights or messages prior to this happening. The vehicle is currenlty undergoing diagnostic testing at a Chevy dealership. This happened at 69,000 miles. This is highly concerning that this could happen in a 95,000 dollar vehicle. This is absolutely a saftey risk. I'm lucky I was able to merge on the interstate in a vehicle that could not maintain the speed with traffic and pull off to the shoulder.

2018 CHEVROLET MALIBU- Cortland, NY
The Vacuum pump continues to go out causes code P1101. I have replaced it 4 times and people just in my town are fighting this code for dear life like me! It causes our brakes to barely work and make it completely unsafe to drive as the check engine light goes in and out for MAF sensor. It’s not safe. It needs to be recalled. It doesn’t matter if i buy the most cheapest part or expensive part. It has happened on multiple occasions where i replace it and within 2 months, its back on and does reduced power in the middle of me driving on busy roads. i’ve been almost hit and almost caused multiple accidents because I have to pull over.

2022 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Grand Lake, CO
At 60,079 miles (just after reaching the 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty limit) received message on dash indicating reduced acceleration accompanied by the check engine light. Message would clear after the truck was restarted. Message came back occasionally over the next few months. After checking the codes I found a P0747 code indicating a problem with the transmission valve body: solinoid A stuck on. I opted to fix it myself by installing a valve body upgrade kit from NextGen Drivetrain. GM valve body is worthless. A $70,000+ truck should be more reliable. Thank you to NextGen Drivetrain for a real solution where GM failed. GM should pay.
