The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. While the vehicle was coasting, the contact was able to place the transmission shifter into neutral(N) and restart the vehicle to continue driving. The failure recurred on several occasions. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 53,700.

Follow-up with the article in regards to a possible electrical problems in older Dodge Journey after a woman was trapped and died when her SUV caught fire in December. Issues reported warning lights started flashing, windshield wipers came on, the horn started honking, windows wouldn't go down and the doors wouldn't unlock. Those are of the TIPM that have been reported for years and nothing has been done. I have personal experienced everything that others witnessed with 2009 except for I have not had a fire yet, I have been stuck in my vehicle for times due to window won't go down and doors will not unlock. Horn , lights, wipers, continue to go off I have to pull fuses out all the time just so not to disturb the neighbors as it happens at all hours not just when driving it. It caused a brand new battery to swell up that was caught by a mechanic, the TIPM has been changed 2 times now and still have issues along with the battery was replaced 3 times so far and maybe this is why I have not had a fire because I continue to get a new one. There are multiple whirring and clicking noises in the walls of the cargo area, mostly in passenger side. This happens when I lock/unlock the auto, and close the doors. I also hear what sounds like a moan coming from the dash, at least 2-3 times after I've closed and locked it, from the inside. I just purchased it used, with around 98k miles on it.

This vehicle will slip in and out 4 wheel drive on its own. This can occur when driving and I’m concerned it will create a dangerous situation, especially if driving at high speeds. When this issue is occurring, making tight turns (parking, neighborhood driving) becomes very dangerous as the wheels become locked and you have to press the accelerator down creating a lot of power and the vehicle becomes dangerously uncontrollable. This is very common while parking, when often pedestrians are present and the vehicle becomes unpredictable due to this issue. This will also occur at a 2 way stop when turning right in front of on-coming traffic. The vehicle will again be unpredictable and can’t turn smoothly impairing traffic coming from behind.

My car has been making a loud rattling sound. I had it checked out today and the mechanic is reporting that it's the power train. I see that this is listed a frequent recall problem. My mechanic said that he's seen the same thing. This is going to be over $4000 in repairs that I really believe should be a recall problem if it's fallen under it for other vehicles.

Every time I get gas, my Charger stalls at stops and while driving. Not good!!! I have had several close calls! I do not top off and I always use premium. Something has to be done this is not safe for anyone on the road.

Vehicle started making whining sound on acceleration. Took in to dealer and they diagnosed the transmission pump had failed. Recommended transmission replacement due to damage from failed pump. Pump was recalled in campaign 16V461000 but my VIN is not included.

The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Durango. The contact stated after driving at approximately 40 mph approximately three miles the vehicle was parked. The contact stated there was a burning odor present. The contact was informed that the vehicle was smoking. The contact witnessed smoke emanating from the engine compartment and opened the hood. The contact observed fire emanating from the engine compartment. The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher borrowed from a nearby service station. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

The contact stated shifted to park(P) and turning off and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel lines, spark plugs, and throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module needed to be replaced. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was unavailable. The consumer stated that they paid out of pocket for repairs according to the recall.

Sudden loud knocking then pop, started smoking pulled over immediately. Due to rod bearing failure rod went through block and all oil came out. Vehicle is available for inspection. Drivers safety was at risk because vehicle lost power and was unable to exit the roadway in a timely manner. No warning was given other than heard a couple of clicks then immediately followed by a loud pop.
