    - Marion, IL

Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) I have two children and the vehicle has left me stranded about a dozen times because it will not even start. Upon research, this faulty part can also cause the vehicle to just stall at highway speeds. I have taken it to a 3rd-party mechanic, a Dodge dealership, contacted my 3rd-party warranty company, and called Chrysler Customer Care. Nobody can source the part needed because it is no longer manufactured. Stellantis' recommendation was to trade it in and pawn it off on someone else. It has popped about 10-15 CEL's while just driving down the road. Nobody can source the part and rebuilders will not touch it. No remediation or offer to make this right by Stellantis.

  • 2013 DODGE JOURNEY
    - Taneytown, MD

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving, the ABS, brake, and traction control warning lights remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the ABS module had failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the mechanic that the replacement ABS module was no longer available from the manufacturer. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V675000 (Electronic Stability Control(ESC), Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure as described in the recall. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 153,000.

    - Deltona , FL

On the morning of August 26, 2026, my 2017 Dodge Journey 2.4L was brought to DeLand Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for federal safety Emissions Recall Z98, which required updating the software calibration on the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The vehicle was scanned by the dealer at check-in (116,561 miles) and had zero transmission faults. The technician updated the PCM, and the dealer put 2 miles on the vehicle during service. Within 4 minutes of leaving the property, while accelerating to 50 MPH on a public roadway, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic loss of power and total transmission failure. The vehicle dropped completely out of gear, would roll backward while shifted into Drive, and completely refused to engage Reverse. If the vehicle was key-cycled off and on, it would move only one foot before the computer panicked, dropping it back into an immediate neutral state and free-revving the engine. The failed recall modification rendered the vehicle an immediate highway safety hazard. The dealership is actively refusing to honor the recall warranty or inspect the failed safety component. Stellantis corporate case number is 97915298.

  • 2016 DODGE DART
    - Poway, CA

On August 13, 2026, the vehicle was taken to an authorized Dodge dealership for an electrical-system problem at approximately 105,111 miles. The vehicle required a jump start and the battery failed a load test. The dealer replaced the battery, calibrated the electronic steering sensor, cleared all diagnostic trouble codes, and documented that the repairs were verified. Approximately two days after the vehicle was returned, diagnostic trouble code U0401 appeared and the vehicle had to be returned to the dealership. The vehicle has now remained at the dealership for several days without a substantive diagnosis or explanation of the cause. The vehicle also has a significant shift-cable recall history. It previously received the V34/19V-293 shift-cable recall repair in 2019. NHTSA later investigated post-remedy failures and FCA determined that the prior remedy did not sufficiently address the defect. The vehicle is currently subject to Recall 25V-674/A0C for possible transmission shift-cable failure. NHTSA currently lists the recall as incomplete because the remedy is not yet available. The defect can result in loss of PARK and/or unintended vehicle movement. The August 2026 dealer invoice nevertheless states that the A0C recall was “customer deferred.” I did not decline an available repair; the current NHTSA recall status states that the remedy is not yet available. The current electrical/electronic malfunction, the immediate recurrence of a diagnostic fault after dealer repair, and the unresolved transmission shift-cable safety recall raise concerns regarding continued safe operation of the vehicle. The vehicle remains available for inspection.

  • 2006 DODGE CHARGER
    - East Hartford, CT, CT

I have a beautiful 2006 dodge daytona charger with 5.7L Hemi engine that has failed with 170,000 miles. It has been impeccably maintained with on time oil changes using Mobil 1 synthetic oil. The problem is the roller on the lifter for cylinder # 4 locked up and wiped the lobe off the camshaft...So now theres a misfire and the engine needs a rebuild! I know nothing lasts forever BUT.... most engines now a days make 200,000 no problem and most go well beyond that if maintained properly. I was expecting the same for this engine but This well-known problem finally struck me... I have had my lifetime warranty denied because the cost of the engine exceeds the value of the car so there lifetime warranty is a very mis leading and really an out rite lie!!! Chrysler/Stellantis knows all about these hemi engines failing but is leaveing its customers holding the bag! I think you should do an investigation do the huge number of failures!!!

Pulling back in to drive way, car wouldn't go into park and just cut off. Took it to Randy Marion Dodge of [XXX] of [XXX], and they're saying its the recall but there is not parts available to fix it because Dodge hasn't released the parts. This my only car I have to have to means of transportation to get back in forth to work. Meanwhile Dodge said they could fix it, but its going to cost me $920. Dodge should be to ones paying for this. They also want release a loaner car or a rental provision. How is this right?????????? At approximately 3:40 pm central standard time I was going through a school zone fixing to turn into the school. I was going about 15 mph and decelerating to a stop near the cop conducting school traffic. As I was coming a stop my AHR headrest deployed. This happened very spontaneously and luckily I was going slow enough and coming to a stop when it happened. Definitely a safety concern.

  • 2001 DODGE RAM 2500
    - Show Low, AZ

I own a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9L Cummins diesel, manufactured in September 2000, with approximately 197,000 miles. The AIRBAG warning light now remains illuminated continuously, and the steering-wheel cruise-control buttons are completely inoperative. The horn still works. I performed the instrument-cluster self-test, and the CRUISE indicator illuminates during that test, confirming the indicator itself functions. I suspect a failure in the steering-wheel clockspring or related airbag circuit because these symptoms are similar to the condition addressed by Chrysler Safety Recall 982 / NHTSA Recall 01V153000. The vehicle has not yet been repaired or disassembled for this issue, so the original component remains installed and would be available for inspection if requested. My safety concern is that a clockspring or airbag-circuit failure could prevent the driver’s frontal airbag from deploying properly in a crash. The illuminated AIRBAG warning lamp indicates that the supplemental restraint system has detected a fault. The problem has not yet been diagnosed or confirmed by a dealer or independent repair facility. I contacted the Dodge/Ram Recall Assistance team and reported the condition. They opened a customer-assistance case, but told me that my VIN was not included in Recall 982. My Dodge/Ram case number is 97895685. My truck was manufactured in September 2000, and the 11th character of the VIN is “G.” Because the vehicle is experiencing an airbag warning condition and loss of steering-wheel cruise-control functions similar to symptoms associated with clockspring failure, I am requesting that NHTSA review whether vehicles outside the original recall population may be experiencing the same safety-related defect. The AIRBAG warning light and cruise-control failure are the current symptoms. I do not know the exact date the underlying component began to fail. No crash or airbag deployment has occurred.
