2021 GENESIS G90- Destin, FL
My 2021 Genesis G90 has experienced repeated failures of the main infotainment / viewing display system, which has been replaced multiple times by authorized Genesis dealers. Despite these repairs, the defect continues to recur. On December 19, 2025, while the main display was nonfunctional, I was involved in a rear-end collision while proceeding from a stop at a traffic light. During this event, the vehicle did not provide any forward collision warning and did not engage autonomous emergency braking, despite the presence of a vehicle directly in front of me. I am concerned that failure of the main display system or its associated control modules disables, suppresses, or prevents proper operation or driver notification of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. Due to the display failure, no visual warnings or system status messages could be seen, and there was no indication that collision-avoidance systems were disabled or degraded. The absence of both warnings and braking intervention raises serious concerns regarding system integration, fault handling, and fail-safe design. This vehicle has undergone multiple unsuccessful repair attempts for the same defect and is currently subject to a formal warranty demand under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This complaint is submitted to request investigation into whether recurring display failures in the 2021 Genesis G90 can impair ADAS functionality or driver awareness, creating an unreasonable safety risk.

The radiator of my 2022 Genesis GV70 was damaged due to debris. When speaking with the Genesis technicians, they informed me that this happens frequently with this make and model becuase of the way the grille was manufactured. There is essentially no protection to the radiator which can cause damage to it without your knowledge. I was told it doesn't take a large rock to damage it and you probably wouldn't even know that it happened. Damage to the radiator can cause major issues to the vehicle while driving, potentially causing a major accident on the highway. The repair to the car was not covered, as they claim it was an external factor that caused it, even though the poorly designed grille should protect something as important as a radiator.

During a routine left hand turn at low speed (~10-15MPH), the vehicle engaged emergency braking. The dashboard indicated emergency braking was enabled. There were no objects in the vehicle's path. Acceleration was not possible during the event. Because the braking was unexpected and unintentional, the vehicle behind nearly collided with me.

I was driving on major highway around 66.mph and the car lost acceleration and dropped to 45.mph quickly and It wouldn't accelerate when I hit gas pedal. I was almost rearended om highway because of this. I quickly pulled onto shoulder. Car is currently under manufacturer warranty and being assessed by dealership. It did generate a code P0190 upon scan. However, dealership cannot get it to replicate at this time. Pending information from dealership. My car did.not fall under first recall for fuel.pump issue but it should now. See code below.

In 2023 & 2025, my vehicle had been brought into the Genesis dealership to complete NHTSA 24V868000 safety recall by receiving a new software (Service Campaigns 907G & 025G). However, despite that, on [XXX], the vehicle's ICCU failed while I was traveling at highway speeds. The ICCU is the primary component that the safety recall was supposed to address, yet it failed anyways. The car suddenly and dangerously reduced propulsion on the freeway, and I had to slowly maneuver the car onto the shoulder where the car then completely lost all propulsion entirely. My family and I were in the car, and our safety was at extreme risk since the car lost propulsion without warning on the freeway and other vehicles had to swerve around us. There was the very real possibility that had I not reacted quickly, that we would have been fully immobilized on the freeway, blocking traffic and creating a real safety hazard for other vehicles. There were no warning lights or any indications that the part was going to fail -- it failed immediately, and only after that did multiple warning messages appeared due to systems downstream of the ICCU failing as a result of the ICCU's failure. The dealership (Genesis of Dublin) confirmed that the failure was specific to the ICCU and the vehicle had its ICCU replaced under the 10 year powertrain warranty. I have documentation proving that the problem was caused by the ICCU's failure. In addition, the ICCU's replacement with an identical ICCU simply means this extremely dangerous hazard can occur again without warning in 1 to 2 years' time, since the replaced ICCU is the same unit that failed before - no updates to the ICCU have been announced by Genesis or its dealerships. I reiterate: the problem persists despite 24V868000 being preventative recalls completed. Recall 907G Completed 10/26/23 Recall 025G Completed 01/13/25 The above mitigations are not enough to fix the problem and avoid a dangerous situation. Driving the car on 2 separate occasions in last 3 weeks when car suddenly stopped when driving and vehicle forward collision warning-braking light went on and car stopped in middle of the road and could not drive forward .The first time it lasted several minutes and then I was able to drive. Notified dealer and told it would be doubtful it could be duplicated and wash the car. The second occasion we were in the interstate highway when it suddenly stopped and forward vehicle collision warning-braking light came on.This was extremely dangerous situation being in middle lane of interstate and inching over to shoulder only with help from a car in right lane . Could not drive 3-5 feet and car would stop. Had to work way to shoulder of highway from middle lane. Called dealer for help and no return call. Went into driver's Manuel and disabled the forward collision warning system. (later told I would need to do this every time I drove)--- Dealer then evaluated and said a rock " may have hit the radar thru the grill and bent it". ( yet there was no signs of damage on grill or elsewhere)--asked to have it covered on warranty and denied , later being told that there was signs of " stress crack in lower front bumper that may have caused this. Overall unacceptable explanation and it appears to be happening to other GV70's when looking on social medial .. Was told it would cost about $2,500 to replace and not covered in warranty . This was a very dangerous occurrence while driving on the highway and could have resulted in a serious accident with nothing to warn that is might occur ( it was sudden and severe braking)

I am submitting this report to document a serious and dangerous safety defect involving my Genesis G70. Note - Your system pulls my VIN as a G80, I own a G70. On two separate occasions, the vehicle applied braking without driver input and abruptly veered to the left, despite there being no obstacles, vehicles, or road hazards present. During the first incident, the vehicle was operating in Comfort mode with Lane Assist enabled. During the second incident, the vehicle was operating in Sport mode with Lane Assist disabled. In both cases, the braking felt as though it was applied to the front-left wheel, causing an immediate and forceful deviation of the vehicle to the left. Both incidents occurred while the vehicle was traveling at speed and required immediate corrective action. I was forced to divert the vehicle onto the shoulder to avoid a potential collision. My family was present in the vehicle at the time. Had there been a vehicle in the adjacent left lane during either event, a collision would have been unavoidable. No warnings, alerts, or visual indicators were displayed prior to or during either incident EXCEPT late / after or during about Checking Lane Safety Warning There were no objects, lane intrusions, or traffic conditions that would justify autonomous braking or steering intervention. I am reporting this issue as a critical safety defect that poses a serious risk of collision, injury, or fatality. I am also reporting the issue to my authorized dealer, Global Auto Mall (Route 22, North Plainfield, NJ), for immediate inspection and diagnosis. I am aware of other similar reports involving this behavior and believe this issue warrants investigation. I am submitting this complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to document the defect and to help prevent potential injury or loss of life.

There is a recall on my 2020 Genesis g80 3.3t regarding a faulty turbo oil feed pipe causing the car to leak oil and a safety risk that could cause a fire. Vehicle had no issues prior to me having towed to Genesis north of Cincinnati other than the supply pipe leaking oil. The next day after them performing repairs on my vehicle I receive a text as well as an email stating that my service is complete. In the text message it states that my car is complete and is ready to be picked up but the car is now leaking coolant and the oil leak is not repaired. Genesis did not properly repair the issue and is still leaking oil. Repair includes work done to the coolant system being bled annd refilled with coolant . Now my car is also leaking coolant after them attempting repairs
