The approximately 52-inch-long chrome trim piece that runs the length of the top of the windshield came off while driving. Because this trim piece is at the top of the windshield, and out of the view of the driver, I am uncertain exactly when it came off, but I believe it came off while at freeway speed, and that is why I do not have, or know, the location of the missing trim. A trim piece of this size (approximately 52 inches) coming off my vehicle at freeway speed would have passed over the top of my vehicle and posed a safety hazard to a motorist or motorbike rider behind me. The manufacturer’s authorized dealer confirmed the missing piece and replaced it under warranty. I heard oddly pronounced wind noises before I noticed the trim piece was missing, and I believe, in retrospect, the noise may have been created by the loose trim piece prior to completing dislodging from the vehicle.

Drivers side headlights started collecting condensation, after 2 weeks the daytime running lights stopped working. When driving thru rain the headlights stopped working and the LED warning light came on.We can’t comfortably drive in the rain or after dark without safe lighting. The local Genesis dealer inspected the issue and the manufacturer has offered to cover 1/2 the cost of replacement. The vehicle is 3 years old and while over the mileage for warranty this is an issue which should be covered 100% as it is a safety issue. The LED headlights should have a longer lifespan.

Similar to the GV80 issue, when the vehicle decelerates from 80 to 70 there is a loud whining noise coming from the vehicle.

Airbags failed to deploy after pre-collision system did not activate nor did the emergency breaking activate. I struck a larger SUV while traveling ~35 mph broadside and there was no assistance from the vehicle safety features. It is unknown to me if any of the components have been adequately assessed since. I am concerned that the vehicle may be resold without proper inspection and has to potential to injure other parties in the future.

The contact owns a 2023 Genesis GV80. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with a child seated in the rear passenger’s seat, the seat belt webbing loosened from the frame of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the seat belt might have been cut and caused the failure. The contact disputed the claim and notified the manufacturer of the failure; however, the manufacturer sided with the dealer. The contact was not offered any additional assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.

Oil pressure sensor in the engine failed. This issue is critical and unsafe due to driver distraction and making sure their engine will not seize. I had to pull over on the side of the highway, and risk endangering myself and others. The problem has been confirmed my multiple independent shops and dealers, and a lot of other owners of this vehicle have been experiencing the same issue. The vehicle has not been inspected by the police, only by the dealer. Their argument is that it is not covered under warranty and it does not violate safety regulations. There were no symptoms of the issue whatsoever. Only a warning lamp as soon as it occurred, freaking out drivers.

This vehicle had been in the shop for over a month due to the emergency brake system freezing up causing my rear wheels to lock up, to smoke and rotors become damaged. Dealership could not find anything wrong as could not duplicate the issue. They did say that the EBS did engage while driving down the interstate at 70+ MPH. No reason why. Not normal! It was returned to me. Then 1 week after getting it back the vehicle started shaking violently when at speeds in excess of 65 for about 30 seconds. The RPM goes from 2 to 4 with difficult acceleration. When it gets back to normal, there is a definite clunk. Do not get any warning lights. Has happened 3 time in less than 2 weeks. Is not safe to drive! It is back at the dealership. Something is wrong with the vehicle. Have a video

On [XXX], I opened my car door slightly to get out. I stood up and the door leaned back quickly and caught my thumb. I was trying to get the handle to release and it would not. Then my door initiated the soft close feature and secured my thumb in the door and would not release. I was screaming with no help around and my [XXX] in his car seat unable to help open the door. The door remained shut on my finger for about 10 seconds and released. I almost had a panic attack. It is 11 days later and my thumb is not doing well. I’m going to go to and orthopedic doctor this week to have it assessed. I’ve been taking ibuprofen and soaking it everyday. I cannot believe this “smart” vehicle did not detect something in the door that shouldn’t be and open immediately. My now [XXX] talks about it every day. It was a traumatizing experience and I don’t feel that I can trust this vehicle. It could have severed my thumb and not to mention had it been one of my children who got a finger stuck! I am so upset and this happened to my dominant hand. It’s still swollen, not the skin is peeling and there’s a huge knot on my thumb with no feeling in it. I only have a sensation in my thumb and I can barely move it. I cannot believe this happened to me and as much as I love my vehicle, I no longer trust it!! There should have been more thought put into the soft close feature! If you close a regular car door on your hand it’s going to reopen. If I try to close my garage and something is blocking it, it will not close. Why would this intelligent vehicle secure my thumb and not release. This is terrible! It has to be fixed!! I was so disturbed the day it happened, I couldn’t even think straight. I had a nurse practitioner at work look at it and now she thinks it needs orthopedic attention!! The pictures are 11 days post incident. I am terrified to have my dip powder removed from my nail. I’m scared my nail is going to come right off with it!!! On my 2019 G70, the A/C started blowing warm air and had the dealership diagnosis come back with a leaking evaporator. After doing about 20 minutes of research, I have found multiple forums talking about this failing after about 5 years or 50k-60k miles. I even was able to confirm from the service advisor that the A/C on a lot of early Genesis models come in for the same or similar repairs. For a part that typically lasts 10-15 or the life of the car in most makes, this is extremely concerning, especially living in areas where it is very hot most of the year. I have had the car inspected by the dealer and two independent repair shop and all were able to reproduce the same diagnosis. There were no indicators that this would be a potential issue from my past general maintenance services at the dealership and no symptoms that would lead me to believe that anything with the A/C was starting to fail. One day while driving, the cold air just stopped and was only blowing warm air. Outside of general discomfort while driving for more than several minutes, this is a major safety concern, like I stated above, and being in a very hot environment almost year-round, not having A/C in my car isn't really up for discussion.

My concern for this vehicle is the panoramic sun roofs / moon roofs. I am hearing a lot of crunching, grinding, cricking, binding coming from panoramic sun roof. Sounds like it’s the assembly and glass making noise while driving, Turning into and out of driveways, going over speed bumps, pot holes, etc. My concern is will the sunroof shatter while I’m driving, will it hold up during an accident? This is a safety concern and hazardous. I only have 34000 miles on this car. Multiple people that have/had genesis with panoramic/ moon roofs are/had issues with the same area.
