2023 GENESIS GV70- Redlands, CA
Several times now, my Genesis GV70 will make a strange sound on startup. The auto stop light will illuminate and I can't turn it off. The car will have no power to accelerate. I have to turn the car off and back on again for the problem to resolve.

2023 GENESIS GV60- Stamford, CT
At random occurrences during car startup, the instrument cluster remains blank and can take up to several minutes to “wake up”. Since no cluster-related information such as speedometer or safety and diagnostic lights is available at this time, the car remains un-drivable until it eventually resolves. Should it occur while the car is being driven, it can pose a significant safety risk as none of the vehicle’s warning lights on the cluster are available. This problem first began to occur after the latest OTA software updated, though it’s not absolutely clear if this is the cause of the issue.

2019 GENESIS G70- Bayville, NJ
When driving the vehicle it feels as though as it stalls due to choking all or some of the fuel getting to the engine. This is most prone when accelerating fast. It feels as though the fuel is shut off or severely diminished as the vehicle will accelerate, but at a fraction (crawl) of the normal output available and accomplished in the past.

2023 GENESIS GV70 ELECTRIFIED- Mercer Island, WA
Genesis GV70 Electrified with 15,818 miles. Car suddenly would not accelerate beyond 20 mph and RED Warning on dashboard to immediately pull over and stop car. No prior warning or symptoms. Significant concern for safety of my passenger and myself due to driving much lower than speed limit on road, in wet conditions. Thankfully, I was not on a freeway or major intersection. Called Genesis dealership, and service manager confirmed the defective part is the ICCU, which was already on NHTSA recall and was reprogrammed earlier this year on my car. Same issue occurred, but this time the dealership plans to replace the part. Why was this not replaced the first time if it can go bad? This should be a required replacement, not reprogramming. This is the SECOND major power failure on my car within 1-1/2 yrs of ownership and only 15,818 miles driven. Seems like significant issues on this car, maybe a lemon?

2023 GENESIS GV70- Woodbridge, VA
I am reporting a recurring issue with my 2023 Genesis GV70 2.5 Prestige. The vehicle consistently shudders and shakes when driving between 40-45 mph under normal conditions—whether accelerating, cruising, or maintaining speed on various roads. This noticeable shuddering affects ride smoothness and is concerning. I brought this problem to the Genesis maintenance department at my local dealership. They inspected the vehicle but claimed no issue was detected. Despite their assurances, the shuddering persists every time I drive within that speed range. No repairs were attempted; I was told the vehicle was operating as expected. Researching online, I found numerous other owners experiencing the same issue. Forums, including Reddit discussions, are filled with accounts from frustrated owners. Many report that even after having their differentials repaired or replaced multiple times, the issue continues, suggesting a design or manufacturing flaw not being addressed. I am deeply concerned about the safety implications of this persistent shuddering. It affects vehicle handling and stability at common speeds, potentially leading to loss of control. The unpredictability leaves me anxious while driving, fearing a mechanical failure or accident. I do not want to be stranded due to this unresolved problem. This issue has significantly diminished my confidence in the vehicle and the brand. The stress and inconvenience are substantial, disrupting my routine and peace of mind. The inaction and lack of acknowledgment from Genesis add to my frustration. I am requesting a thorough investigation into this matter. The prevalence among other owners indicates a systemic problem needing prompt attention. I urge the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate these complaints to ensure Genesis resolves this defect and safeguards its customers. I hope that by reporting this problem, steps will be taken to prevent potential safety hazards for myself and other owners.

2025 GENESIS GV80 Coupe- Jackson, NJ
Digital instrument cluster continually turns off while operating. Yes its available for inspection When the instrument cluster of out, there is no speedometer, no turn signals, no safety features. On one occasion when the screen came back on it indicated that a crash was imminent when there was none. I believe this put our safety and others at risk as critical functions of the vehicle are not available when the screen in blank. Yes, the dealer has confirmed the issue on 3 separate occasions and attempted to fix it. It has been inspected by the manufacturer on 4 occasions. Vehicle timeline: •We took delivery of the car on [XXX] •On [XXX] the instrument cluster rebooted TWICE because of what we thought was CarPlay. •From 8/6/2024 to 8/12/2024 the dealer had the car and said it was my phone causing the issues and there was nothing wrong with the car. •On [XXX] we got videos of the entire screen AND instrument cluster going out and brought it in immediately for service •From 8/30/2024 to 9/6/2024 they had my car in service, they confirmed the ENTIRE instrument cluster was having issues and traced it to a bad connector and “fixed” it. •On [XXX] the screen AND entire instrument cluster started going out again. •From 9/10/2024 to 9/13/2024 they had my car in service, they once again confirmed the issue and traced it back to a pin problem. •On [XXX] the screen started going out again. We called Cherry Hill as Freehold cant seem to get the problem solved and could only get an appointment on 10/10/2024 •Between 9/27/2024 and 10/10/2024 we got DOZENS of videos of the ENTIRE instrument cluster going blank. On one of these occasions, when the screen came back on the safety features were freaking out that a crash was imminent when there was not. •From 10/10/2024 to 10/25/2024 they had my car in service where the once again confirmed the ENTIRE instrument cluster was going out and traced it to a set of pins and connectors in the car. The passenger side sideview mirror of my vehicle folds to a closing position while the vehicle is in motion. This has occurred a few times today creating a safety hazard for the occupants of my vehicle and other drivers as I have lost visibility on that side of the vehicle while on the road. I have re-opened the mirror and after a few mins it closes up on its own again. Upon contacting the dealer, they informed me that they don't have any available appointments until 11/15. I reached out to Genesis Corporate and they changed my service dealership. I also informed them of what occurred. I have contacted 2 other dealership to obtain a quick appointment and there is no appointments available.
