2024 LAND ROVER DEFENDER- Canonsburg, PA
The manufacturer became aware of this issue approximately six months ago. At this time, no repair is available. I am driving to a remote location without consistent phone service and the manufacturer and dealer will not offer a loaner vehicle. I believe that Land Rover should offer a trade in for a new vehicle without this issue.

2021 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- Rochester, NY
The safety defect remains unresolved, and my vehicle has been out of service since March 2026. Despite repeated attempts to obtain repairs, the manufacturer has been unable to provide the necessary replacement parts, leaving the vehicle unusable for an extended period of time. I am increasingly concerned about the severity of the defect and the potential safety risks it presents to vehicle occupants and the public. Based on information available through owner forums, dealer communications, and other reports, it appears that this issue may be affecting a significant number of vehicles and may not be an isolated incident. The ongoing inability to repair affected vehicles due to parts shortages raises additional concerns regarding the scope of the problem and the manufacturer's ability to adequately address the defect. Owners are being left without safe, operable vehicles for months while waiting for a resolution. Given the significant safety implications, the extended period my vehicle has remained out of service, the lack of available repair parts, and the apparent volume of similar complaints, I respectfully request that NHTSA reopen its review and conduct a more comprehensive investigation into this matter. Also additional recall that should be issued to the 2021 model: [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- San Ramon, CA
The infotainment system in this 2018 Range Rover has exhibited a recurring defect since at least January 2026. The defect manifests in multiple ways: the upper screen intermittently goes blank, the lower screen has been observed stuck flashing, and audio output skips and varies in speed during playback. The system integrates with the rear camera display, audible alerts, and climate controls, so a malfunction affects functions relied upon during vehicle operation, including rear visibility when reversing. The component is available for inspection upon request. On June 15, 2026, while driving on a freeway, the upper screen went blank momentarily without warning. The blackout occurred during normal driving conditions, with no prior warning lamps or alerts, and was unsettling under the circumstances. The vehicle remained controllable, but the incident raised a safety concern because a sudden display blackout at freeway speed is a distraction risk, and because the system is integrated with safety-relevant display and alert functions. The defect has been presented to the authorized dealer multiple times since January 2026. The January service order documented the concern as a continuation of issues following a prior recall and was classified as a warranty matter. The dealer reported being unable to reproduce the defect during a road test. The vehicle was returned for the same concern in April 2026. The dealer's records note updates performed to the IPC, ICDM, AAM, and IDMA modules and again report inability to duplicate the concern despite multiple video recordings of the defect previously submitted to the service department. The defect has continued to manifest after the April service visit, including the June 15 freeway incident. The dealer's repeated inability to reproduce the defect during diagnostic visits does not reflect the actual behavior of the system in regular driving use, where the defect occurs intermittently and without warning. (Video evidence available).

2018 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT- Freeport, NY
The contact owns a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. While the contact's husband was driving approximately 10 MPH on the highway, the engine overheated, with the engine warning light illuminated. The driver exited the highway and was able to safely stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed and repaired. The contact stated that after the most recent failure, which had been repaired approximately 16 times previously, the overheating persisted. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed before any further assistance would be provided. The contact expressed concerns about the repeated failures and the potential safety risk associated with the overheating. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

2025 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER- Copper Canyon, TX
At 613 miles, this 2025 Land Rover Range Rover SE experienced simultaneous brake fluid loss from the rear right wheel area, partial loss of engine power, and multiple warning lights including “Stability Control Not Available” and “Restricted Performance.” The vehicle required emergency flatbed towing. DFW Land Rover Dealer inspection identified damage at two points on the brake line near the rear right wheel. The damage shows longitudinal abrasion scoring along the line consistent with chafing against a vehicle component during normal operation, not external impact. The underbody shield in the same area shows no deformation or penetration that would be expected from an external object. The vehicle has been driven only in normal urban conditions with no incidents, off-road use, or known impacts. The dealership has attributed the damage to external influence despite no supporting physical evidence. Warranty coverage has been denied pending escalation to Land Rover North America. A brake line failure of this nature at highway speed could result in catastrophic brake loss and serious injury.????????????????

2015 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT- San Antonio , TX
My insurance company notified me about Recall Campaign D019, and according to official NHTSA guidelines, where cracks are found, the front suspension knuckle must be replaced immediately at no charge. The dealership's local staff professionally inspected my vehicle and confirmed that the component is actively cracking. However, Land Rover Corporate has failed to provide a timely remedy for this specific recall, leaving me to drive an unsafe vehicle with a fractured suspension while claiming the repair procedure hasn't been released. This completely contradicts the manufacturer's safety obligations mandated by the NHTSA.

2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT- Brooklyn, NY
I took my vehicle to a land rover dealership based upon 2 service bulletins issued by the manufacturer N768, sfcc_apr2022_17 and NHTSA item number 10211119. The Land Rover dealership refused to service the vehicle for those bulletins. I have a heart condition with 20% ejection factor. Since the telematics do not work in the event of a medical emergency my vehicle cannot be located for first responders. The dealer and manufacturer are not flashing or upgrading the telematics to modern standards which can be done easily by installing new software and/or changing out the telematics unit for 4G/5G compatible units and/or reprogrmming older units. As a result drivers with medical conditions are being put at risk if a medical emergency arises because the car cannot communicate to first responders as to its location to help an incapacitated driver.

2020 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER VELAR- North Las Vegas, NV
I'm writing to report a serious safety issue with my 2020 Range Rover Velar's power tailgate. While I was inside the cargo area, the tailgate began closing on its own/unexpectedly. On a separate occasion, it closed on my [XXX] son while he was in the cargo area-I had to push him out of the way to prevent him from being crushed. Shortly after these incidents, the tailgate/latch actuator stopped functioning entirely. I took the vehicle to the dealer who quoted approximately $1300 to replace the latch assembly. Given that this malfunction has put my child at risk of serious injury, I'd like to ask: 1. Is there an open Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for tailgate latch/actuator issues on the 2020 Velar? 2. Would Land Rover consider a goodwill or policy adjustment to cover or offset this repair given the severity of the safety failure? 3. Can this incident be logged as a formal safety concern for review given the risk to a minor? The vehicle was purchased from Land Rover-Las Vegas on Roy Horn. I have also filed the complaint with Land Rover Customer Service. Thank you so much. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2023 LAND ROVER DEFENDER- Wayzata, MN
The front light **What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?** The front passenger-side (right) headlight failed completely on my Land Rover Defender. The headlight assembly, including the bulb and/or associated electrical components, ceased functioning without any prior indication of a problem. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. **How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk?** The sudden loss of a front headlight significantly reduced visibility while driving at night, creating a serious safety hazard for myself, passengers, and other road users. Reduced lighting also diminishes the vehicle's visibility to oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists, increasing the risk of a collision. **Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?** Yes. The failure was confirmed by an authorized Land Rover dealership, which inspected the vehicle and verified that the front passenger-side headlight had failed. **Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others?** The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Land Rover dealership, which confirmed the headlight failure. No inspection has been conducted by police or insurance representatives at this time. **Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?** There were no warning lamps, dashboard messages, flickering, dimming, or any other symptoms prior to the failure. The headlight failed suddenly and without any advance warning, providing no opportunity to anticipate or respond to the malfunction before it occurred.
