Total loss of power steering. Was able to avoid crash but extremely dangerous. Has to get it towed to dealer $6,800 fix for total rack replacement due to bolts sheering off from EPS. Research shows this is a known issue due to faulty aluminum bolts in areas that salt roads.

I am writing to formally request a review of my vehicle for inclusion in NHTSA Recall 21V-635, issued May 11, 2022, concerning fuel leaks at the fuel tank flange assembly. My vehicle is a 2012 Land Rover LR4, VIN [XXX] . Although my local Land Rover dealer has informed me that my VIN is not currently included in the recall population, my vehicle is experiencing the exact condition described in the recall notice — a fuel leak originating from the fuel outlet flange mounted on the fuel tank. The recall letter for 21V-635 states that all Land Rover LR4 vehicles model years 2010–2016 are included. My vehicle falls squarely within that model year range. Given this, and the fact that my vehicle is exhibiting the precise defect identified in the recall, I am concerned that my VIN may have been inadvertently excluded from the recall population. This issue presents a serious safety concern due to the risk of fire associated with fuel leakage. The symptoms and failure location match the recall description. I respectfully request that NHTSA review my case to determine whether: My VIN was mistakenly omitted from the recall population, or The recall population should be expanded or corrected to include my vehicle. I am prepared to provide photographs, repair estimates, diagnostic reports, or inspection documentation confirming the fuel leak at the flange assembly upon request. Because this defect involves fuel leakage and a significant potential fire hazard, I believe it warrants careful review to ensure all similarly affected vehicles are properly covered. The contact owns a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while his wife was operating the vehicle, the battery indicator warning light was illuminated on the instrument cluster. The following morning, the vehicle failed to start and became inoperable. An independent mechanic initially replaced the alternator; however, the alternator replacement failed to fix the vehicle. Several diagnostic tests confirmed a failure of the DC-to-DC converter. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V683000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) as a possible cause for the failure; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,600.

fuel supply line from fuel tank at the engine is leaking on top of the valve cover causing a fire hazzard. The part is not available from the dealership as they said it is on national backorder this line is not damaged in any way and should not be leaking. This needs to be a recall and not the responibility of the customer. The part number from the dealer is LR140080

The contact owns a 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the fuel level became low very quickly. The check engine warning light and the hazard light was illuminated. The vehicle stalled on the highway due to the low fuel level. The contact attempted to accelerate; however, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact called for an Uber and purchased a gas can and refueled the vehicle. The vehicle was refueled and restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a diagnostic test, and it was determined that there was a crack in the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 186,000.

Received a stop vehicle, "Electrical Fault". Diagnosed by certified mechanic to be DC to DC Converter fault needing replacement. Estimated 1-2 month backorder due to high demand for parts.

The contact owns a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V514000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The vehicle lost power after a warning that the battery was not recharging. I have a portable jump start battery. Tried to jump start it -- the battery would not hold a charge once cables disconnected. Had the vehicle towed to the dealer. I was told this is a DC-to-DC converter problem that is widespread across Defenders 20222-present. parts are unavailable.Being stuck in a vehicle with no power, absolutely dead, is scary and would have been a major problem if the electrics had gone out while driving.

My car completely died and would not start up ending up towing it to the mechanic and he said it was the dc to dc converter and I heard this has been happening to mild hybrid Range Rovers / Sport an all electric ones too.

I purchased a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport (VIN: [XXX] ) from AutoNation USA Wesley Chapel on May 17, 2025. Shortly after purchase, the driver-side door latch recall issue manifested when the door unexpectedly opened while the vehicle was traveling at highway speed. The incident was documented at the time it occurred. The vehicle was later serviced by AutoNation on August 26, 2025, where they stated the latch had been addressed. However, the NHTSA recall database still shows Manufacturer Recall N975 as incomplete for this VIN. This raises concern that the recall repair may not have been properly performed or reported, or that the vehicle was sold with an open safety recall that should have been identified and remedied prior to sale. Given that the driver-side door latch failure occurred while the vehicle was in motion shortly after purchasing the vehicle from AutoNation USA Wesley Chapel, which represented that a comprehensive multi-point inspection had been completed prior to sale, I am submitting this report as a safety concern regarding recall compliance, inspection practices, and repair documentation associated with this vehicle.
