2026 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500- Heber Springs, AR
I am submitting this formal statement regarding a severe, recurring safety hazard involving sudden engine stalling and internal mechanical noise on my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.The vehicle has experienced multiple sudden engine stalls during low-speed deceleration, specifically while letting off the accelerator pedal to execute low-speed turns into parking lots. When the stall occurs, the engine dies completely, causing an immediate and dangerous loss of power steering and power braking assistance mid-turn. Because the vehicle shuts off completely while still in motion, I am forced to bring the truck to a dead stop, shift the transmission out of Drive and into Park, and completely cycle the ignition system to restart the engine. There is a distinct, audible mechanical ticking sound coming from the engine compartment during operation. Crucially, the vehicle has never illuminated a Check Engine Light, displayed a dashboard warning message, or given any advance electronic indication prior to or during these sudden stalling events. This vehicle's build window falls directly into the scope of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) active Engineering Analysis (EA26005) investigating catastrophic valvetrain and engine failures on GM 6.2L L87 engines. Because this defect causes an unexpected loss of vehicle control with zero diagnostic warnings, it poses an immediate highway safety risk to myself and others.I request a full diagnostic scan for hidden or pending fault codes, a physical inspection of the valvetrain/Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) system, and an inspection of the engine oil filter for metallic debris indicative of internal bearing degradation.

Complete brake system, master cylinder, pads, rotors. Only 75000+- miles. Morning start and the brakes are locked up. Had to get towed and the entire system needed to be replaced. So after several days and almost $5,000 I started driving home. After about 5 miles something fell off the front brakes and bounced along underneath but I was close to home so I continued and didn't need to apply the brakes until my driveway and then a terrible grinding sound. Called the dealer (Modern Chevrolet) Winston-Salem NC. Turns out the Einsteins who did the work forgot to tighten the bolts holding the rotor and one fell out and the other one was grinding against the wheel. So another extended stay at the dealership to correct this, a new wheel and correction to the brake components.

my 2026 equinox is having an issue with the blind spot warning on my driver side mirror will either say on or flash. this is regardless of driving, or being parking. i have washed my car, checked my sensor, and i am still having issues. the dealership does not see any issue with the car, however, while driving at night, this is such a distraction because i'm constantly checking my mirror to make sure there's nobody there. there was one day, i had open my trunk from my keyfob, in the house, and when i walked up on the driver side of my car (the car was turned off) it beeped and when i looked over, the blindspot light was on and flashing.

Component that malfunctioned: loose Inner and outer tie rod end following repair preformed at a dealer on 8/20/2026. This component is essential for proper steering and if this would have failed while driving the joint can shear or free from the knuckle as the driver looses control of the steering. additionally, this sudden loss of control would have likely resulted in a serious if not fatal accident. I am an auto technician by trade at a independent repair shop, me and a fellow technician verified the inner and outer tie rod have more than 0.5mm of movement documented by video inspection, we removed the inner tie rod boot and uncovered the inner tie rod was not completely threaded into the rack, we completed threading it but the play is still present. This component was allegedly inspected and repaired on 8/20/26 with the return of clunking noise presenting on 9/3/26. I have not returned to this establishment. No warning lamps are illuminated, the only symptoms are a sharp suspension clunk and noise while turning right. the vehicle was returned to me in an unsafe condition by a known GM dealership. It is unknown to me the exact extent of the service as they did not provide me with any physical records as requested by me.

2021 CHEVROLET CAMARO- Portage, IN
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the wheels locked up and the vehicle stopped abruptly. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle lost electric power and shut off. The vehicle was restarted. The contact attributed the failure to the internal transmission control valve (TCV). The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V148000 (Power Train). The vehicle stalled on several occasions while driving. The contact initially dismissed the intermittent stalling because the vehicle temporarily returned to normal operation. The contact stated that the check engine light occasionally illuminated, and the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission control module failure. The vehicle restarted independently, and the code was erased. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced.

Engine started "ticking" for a bit. Then sounded like marbles were in the engine. Loss of power and engine light came on. Dealer says my 6.2 engine failed and new one needed. Less than 9000 well cared for miles!

2025 CHEVROLET EQUINOX- Decatur, TX
On 3 occasions, the last happening today (XXX) traveling north on XXX toward [XXX] at approximately 14:05, the vehicle has stopped abruptly and hard, and will then release. Today, it took it longer to release. When it occurred this time, it braked just as hard but longer, so I had to cross two lanes so the cars behind me would not hit me. The cars swerved around me and the car eventually let go and I was able to accelerate from that dangerous position on the side of the highway. The first time it happened, someone was pretty close behind me. The car stopped hard, real hard, but let go quickly enough to accelerate before a collision. The second time, there was no one in front or behind us, and we were safe. It hadn’t happened in a while, today. We’ve downloaded 2 or 3 software update, and I was hoping it fixed the issue. It did not. Today the car stumbled and the rpm’s jumped. I feel like the car momentarily braked while I was accelerating.
