2026 DODGE DURANGO- Clarkesville, GA
The Lebra protection cover negates the safety features on Durangos with front radar. The radar protects the vehicle for collision avoidance, auto speed reduction, lane departure, and other safety features. There is a cutout in the LeBra cover which should permit the radar to function correctly but it does not. My vehicle displays a red light and beeps constantly with the cover installed. Without the cover there are no issues. I contacted Dodge Connect and they stated that this is a know problem with front end covers with radar safety options. They accessed my vehicle and checked the alignment etc. Which was correct. They then led me thru resetting the system to be sure that there was no “hard” error. There were no hard errors and nothing they did fixed the issue. They sent me the following which is printed on the Dodge Durango web site. >>>>Do not attach or install any accessories near the sensor, including transparent material or aftermarket grilles. Doing so will cause an ACC system failure or malfunction. Notice is states NEAR! I sent all the photos requested. They are: A picture of the cover installed, A picture of the front of the radar with the cover on, a picture of the malfunction caused by the cover and a video illustrating the malfunctioning safety issues caused, the serial number of the Lebra, two pictures of the vehicle without the cover installed. These photos can be expanded for a closeup view. I have sent all information and pictures requested by Cover Craft. I have contacted Cover Craft customer service multiple times already and I feel as though I am getting the run-around or simply being ignored. No after market product should ever negate the factory installed safety features of a vehicle thus putting the driver and occupants in danger. Please modify your web site to warn buyers of this issue.

2015 DODGE DART- Orlando, FL
On July 24th 2026, while operating my 2015 Dodge Dart, I was backing up in reverse and attempted to shift the vehicle into Park. During this normal shifting process, the transmission shift cable failed/broke, causing the vehicle to become stuck in Reverse and preventing me from safely shifting the vehicle into Park or another gear. The failed component is the transmission shift cable, which is the same component involved in the current safety recall for this vehicle. The failed part is available for inspection upon request and is currently with the dealership. This failure created a serious safety risk because the vehicle could not be placed into Park and remained stuck in Reverse. A vehicle that cannot properly shift gears creates a risk of unintended vehicle movement, inability to secure the vehicle when parked, and potential danger to the driver, passengers, and others nearby. The problem was confirmed by the Dodge dealership after inspection. The dealer verified that the shift cable had failed and that the issue involved the recalled component. The vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting repair. There were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or other noticeable symptoms before the failure. The shift cable broke suddenly while I was attempting to shift from Reverse into Park during normal vehicle operation. The failure happened without warning and left me without a usable vehicle.

2022 DODGE DURANGO- Chesterfield, MI
I own a 2022 Dodge Durango. During normal loading and unloading of cargo with the liftgate open, I have sustained three separate lacerations to my forearm and wrist from the exposed, sharp inside corners of the rear taillight assemblies. The injuries have occurred on both the driver-side and passenger-side taillights during ordinary use of the cargo area. Each incident resulted from simply reaching into or removing items from the rear cargo area. The taillight corners are extremely sharp and are positioned where a person’s arms naturally pass while using the cargo area. The cuts were severe enough to leave permanent scars, and I have photographs documenting the injuries. After experiencing these injuries, I found that other Dodge Durango owners have reported similar lacerations from the same taillight design. Based on my experience and these other reports, I believe the rear taillight assemblies present an unreasonable risk of laceration during normal, foreseeable use of the vehicle. I am submitting this complaint so NHTSA can evaluate whether this design presents a safety defect and determine whether further investigation is warranted.

2008 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN- Brooklyn, NY
Subject: Manufacturer and Dealer Non-Compliance / Obstruction of Federal Safety Recalls Vehicle: 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Description of Problem: I am filing a formal complaint against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)/Mopar and its authorized dealer network for active non-compliance, negligence, and obstruction regarding 7 open federal safety recalls on my vehicle. Authorized franchise dealerships have repeatedly refused to initiate the recall process, scan my vehicle's VIN, or open a formal Repair Order to place required parts on backorder. One dealership nonchalantly dismissed the safety hazards, claiming parts are entirely unavailable because the recalls date back to 2010.( United Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at Jeep Ram [XXX]) Another dealership employee, Craig, used hostile and coercive tactics when discussing service terms, creating an intimidating environment that makes it a safety risk for me to physically bring my vehicle to that location.(Star Chrysler Jeep Dodge FIAT 21110 Jamaica Ave Queens Village, NY 11428) On July 27, 2026, I contacted Mopar Corporate Customer Care to escalate this dealer non-compliance. I spoke with agent Sam under Corporate Case Number XXX. Agent Sam actively obstructed my efforts to secure a remedy. He falsely claimed to be contacting local dealers to check inventory, but when I offered to call those same locations, conference, to verify his claims, he strongly resisted. I asked to speak to a supervisor to escalate the agent's deceptive behavior and the dealer denials, but I was told the supervisor was completely unavailable and could only offer a callback within 24 hours. Under federal law, safety recalls do not expire. Manufacturers and their authorized dealers are legally obligated to provide a free remedy, log vehicle details, and procure parts. Mopar Corporate and its dealer network are actively prioritizing standard brush-offs and administrative evasion over public safety, with 7 recalls.
